Emica's POV:

Myra had ordered quite a bit of food, although not nearly as much as I had expected.

"I love Sundays." Ren stretched out his arms and placed them behind his head contentedly.

"Me too." Myra agreed.

I nodded to show my agreement.

"I'm not excited for school tomorrow there's going to be some geometry test that was supposed to be a surprise." Ren groaned.

School. I wonder what kind of school Ren goes to. I must have gone to school at some point too...but of course I can't remember attending any kind of class besides my herbalist training.

"Yeah, I'm never worried about stuff like that. I never get less than an A on all my subjects so I have more time to play games." Myra smirked.

"No chance you'd be willing to help me with my homework?" Ren leaned forward.

"Not a chance."

"Then maybe Yue will help me." Ren flashed a smile at me. "She's smarter anyway."

"I'm not in geometry..." I said slowly "But maybe if you can explain it to me I could try to help you. a little."

"How old are you anyway? You look fourteen but act like you're twelve." Ren smirked.

"I'm...." I searched for a number in my mind. All I could come up with was the two years I had spent. I couldn't remember further back than that. "Older than one, but younger than sixty-two."

Ren laughed. "Yeah okay...but I'll get it out of you eventually. Maybe I'll learn your real name too. Not to mention where you live and..."

"NOPE!" Myra glared at him. "Privacy is important in this world!"

Ren gave her a sly look. "I think it's good to get to know people. The more you know the better."

Myra turned bright red with outrage. I couldn't understand why though. I'm a naturally curious person so of course I want to know what my friends are thinking and what their secrets could be. I like having people confide in me, why shouldn't Ren think the same?

Ren glanced at me, as did Myra.

"I don't have any secrets." I smiled. "One of my names is Yue, I'm traveling around a lot right now so I can't really say where I live exactly, and I told the truth when I said I'm older than two, but if you think it's important then..." I searched again for a number. "I'm around fourteen to sixteen I think."

Both Myra and Ren looked at me confusedly. Myra's mouth twitched, then she smirked at Ren, who looked slightly bewildered.

"I'm uh...gonna take a break." He announced and left the inn.

Myra began laughing so hard that she started to cry.

"What?" I asked her earnestly. "What did I do?"

Myra hugged me. "You're so innocent you wouldn't understand." She giggled. Then she muttered something about Ren under her breath, but I couldn't hear what she had said.
