Emica's POV:
The next thing I knew, I was flying across the room. Len and I smashed against the floor.
"You okay?" He jumped to his feet and drew his sword.
"Uh huh." I stared at the giant spider, which was crawling towards us.
Len slashed at it, but the creature leapt back out of the sword's reach. I pulled out an arrow and drew my bow, aiming carefully at the large hairy arachnid. My arrow was loosed and I watched as it struck home.
Len lunged at the spider while it was weakened and dealt the final blow.
The door opened, as well as a hidden door on the opposite side of the room.
"We did it!" I cried happily.
"Great job Emi." Len beamed and began walking to the newly opened door. He grabbed a torch on the wall. "Hopefully er'll make it to the boss before Kit."
I shuddered again, but followed him into the dark.
We were in another long hallway, this one just as eery and damp as the last.
"You walk really quietly." Len commented after about five minutes. "Are you still there?"
"Uh huh." I nodded even though I knew he couldn't see me.
"Just making sure. That thing with the...don't move." Len's arm shot out, blocking me from going any further. I peeked over his shoulder, but there didn't seem to be anything there.
Then a rattling noise, along with a hiss, echoed through the hall; sending a shiver down my spine. My finger's gripped Len's shoulder tightly.
"Is it only one?" I whispered.
"Seems like it." Was the reply. Len held his sword out and crept forward with me following closely behind.
Suddenly the white skeletal figure jumped out at Len, who cut off it's skull. The rest of the bones clattered to the floor.
My hand flew to my chest as I tried to slow my breathing. This place was traumatizing.
I pulled another arrow out of my quiver, deciding it would be a good idea to be ready.
A/N: This was supposed to be part of the last chapter, but for some reason I forgot to add it. Whoops.
