Emica's POV:
When I woke up the next morning, something felt wrong. All of a sudden a stabbing pain shot up my arm. I cried out and clutched the area that was being pricked, but nothing was there. That happens to me sometimes. It's extremely painful.
Myra wasn't in the bed anymore so I assumed she had gone to school. It was most likely the same for Kit and Len.
Rolling out of bed is one of the hardest things to do, but I managed to get up groggily. I hadn't slept well thanks to Snowy, who had climbed to different awkward perches on me every half an hour.
I passed by a mirror, causing myself to laugh at the state my hair was in. It looked like I had been zapped by lightning.
Maybe I would take a walk to pass the time today. A glance out the window informed me that it was raining too much to go outside. Hopefully the sky would clear up before everyone got back so we could continue on to Dranfall like Myra wanted.
The woman in the kitchen had given me a saucepan and a jug of milk that I could use for Snowy. I looked around for the saucepan, finally found it, and then went hunting for the milk. I set the saucepan onto the stove and reached for the milk.
Fingers brushed against my arms and I felt someones breath near to my ear.
Thanks to my reflexes, I whipped around and smashed the pot into...Len's head.
He sat down on the floor, holding his head. "My gosh Emi, I'm not a murderer." He moaned.
I dropped the saucepan and knelt down quickly. "AH! I'm sorry! It was an accident, I didn't mean to! Are you okay?"
"Calm down, I'm fine." Len grinned.
I shuddered. "Don't do that again."
"Get a pot smashed over my head? Don't worry, I don't plan to."
"No, sneak up behind me."
"I wasn't sneaking! I'm just a quiet walker. Before I was hit on the head I was going to say good morning."
I grimaced. "Sorry."
"Thats the second time you've caught me by surprise. Now I have to find a way to get even." Len smirked.
I picked up the saucepan, grabbed the milk, and began heating Snowy's breakfast.
"I'm not going to school again today thanks to my mom." Len announced.
"That's nice." I replied with a smile.
"Morning Yue." Kit yawned as he came into the room. "What's sketchy guy doing here?"
Oh no.
"I could ask you the same question." Len shot back.
"My mom got sick so I'm allowed on today." Kit shrugged. "Why are you here?"
"Faked an illness." Len rolled his eyes. :Maybe you should be helping your mom."
"Well maybe you should be grounded for life. Then I wouldn't have to speak to you, much less look at you."
"Ha! You should..."
"Stop! Stop! Stop!" I cried, cutting in. "You guys are driving me crazy!"
They glared at each other but said no more. It's just my luck to be stuck inside with these two.
"Here Yue, let me help with that." Len offered kindly.
"No! I'll help! You can go get breakfast or something." Kit snapped.
"Alright. Hey Yue, want to come with me?" Len smiled.
