Sai splashed water in his face and took a short glance over to Kabuto who was cleaning his surgical tools. "Kabuto, save that for when we get back," Orochimaru said. Kabuto replied, "Oh no, you see if I don't wash the blood off soon enough, the blades will go bad in no time at all. But to change the subject, Orochimaru-sama, would you be able to provide me with an unmarred male corpse when we get back?" Orochimaru asked, "But you still have some left, right?" Kabuto opened his summoning scroll full of corpses, one spot empty, to show Orochimaru, "I do, but our diversion has left me without a 15-16 year old male corpse. It bugs me to no end if this scroll doesn't maintain its proper age order." Orochimaru asked, "Kabuto, is your blood type "A" by chance?" Kabuto answered, "No, "AB" actually."
After he finished cleaning up, Sai looked in his bag and found his picture book missing. 'It's gone.' Orochimaru noticed Sai's slight distress, "Is something wrong... umm, Sai was it?" Sai continued staring in his bag, "No, nothing." Kabuto put his things away and said, "Well then, let's get going, shall we? The lair is just a little further on."
Sakura was stuck trying to figure out the two pages in the middle of the book. The rest of it was pretty self-explanatory; it was a two-sided story where a black-haired boy fights enemies and takes the armor and weapons of the enemies he defeats, same with the white-haired boy on the other side. However, the two center pages looked like they were incomplete. On the right page, it was a picture of the black-haired boy but he was missing his face. The left page, one the other hand, was completely blank. The middle pages caused the simple story to have an eerie feeling to it. 'The black-haired boy kinda looks like Sai but then who's the white-haired boy?' Then Sakura remembered that Sai had said this book was for his brother, she mumbled, "So this is his brother?" 'So the center pages are supposed to be of Sai and his brother.' Yamato announced, "Let's get going now, it looks like my bunshin has been able to locate the base."
The group of three entered one of the main training rooms of the lair, "You're late. Orochimaru, did you forget that you said that you were going to teach me a new jutsu this afternoon?" Kabuto commented, "You fail to mind your mouth as always." Orochimaru said, "Oh do calm down please. Instead of training, I happen to have come across a little present for you. He's a shinobi of Konoha, just like you. I figured you both could bathe yourself in nostalgia, talking about your village." Sai looked at the silhouette of a boy, unable to see who it was due to the dimly lit room. "Whatever."
The leaf ninja were all moving as fast as they could, following Yamato. "Naruto, we'll save Sasuke this time." Naruto turned his head back and nodded at Sakura, "We won't fail!"
Sai greeted with a fake smile, "Hi there, I'm Sai. You must be Uchiha Sasuke." Sasuke, however, saw right through his facade, "Go away!" Kabuto and Orochimaru looked at Sai then at each other. Sai said, "Even if I force myself to smile... I guess I'm just easy to hate. Naruto-kun hated me right from the start, too. But between the two of you, I think I'll be able to get along better with you." Sasuke looked Sai in the eyes for the first time, sharingan activated. Sai was placed in a genjutsu that put him in a panic that caused him to fall back. Kabuto yelled, having enough of this, "Sasuke!" Sai was then broken out of the genjutsu and Sasuke said, "Don't call me that like we're friends." Sai rubbed his cheek, noticing sweat. 'Even an emotionless person like me? Just by looking at him called upon things from my subconscious even I don't recognize?' Orochimaru looked down at Sai, "I wouldn't bother him if I were you, he's worse than I am." Sasuke stood up, "I have nothing to say to this loser. Train me, now." As Sai got back up he said, "I've heard a lot about you from Naruto-kun." That simple sentence brought Sasuke's attention right back to Sai. "He's been trying to find you this whole time. For the entire three years." Sasuke responded, "He's still around? Never mind, let's go, Orochimaru." Sai continued, "Naruto-kun, he truly thinks of you as his own brother. Sakura-san told me that." After a short moment of silence, Sasuke said, "I only have one brother and all I want to do is kill him." Orochimaru handed Kabuto the folder he got from Sai, "All right, let's go. Kabuto, make us a dossier with these." As Orochimaru walked off, Sasuke close behind, Kabuto looked through the papers. "These? These are copies of the profiles for the Anbu who work directly for the Hokage." When Kabuto came across Yamato's profile he commented, "Looks like he was the real deal."
