When I made my way back from my 'walk' I found Pluto asleep on my bed, her arms wrapped protectively around her knees. She was hugging herself into a small ball. I chuckled, walking over to my sleeping roommate and poking her cheek.

"Snooze..." Pluto mumbled.

"Wake up Pluto." I nudged her. Pluto's eyes fluttered opened, giving me a look of incomprehension.

"You're back?" She remarked, rubbing her eyes. "There was something I wanted to..."

"Something you wanted to...what?" I asked.

Pluto continued to rub her eyes, staring at the ground in confusion as she tried to recall what it was she wanted to tell me. I sat on my bed next to her wrapped up in my blankets, waiting calmly.

"Oh, look," She said sarcastically, pointing at something in the air and moving her finger to follow it. "There goes my train of thought. Bye, not like I needed you anyway."

"Yeah, I might think that's funny, but you should probably stop saying that whenever you forget what you were about to say. I don't think your professor was that thrilled when you did that in the middle of your presentation." I smiled, thinking back when I had asked her how her dreaded presentation had gone.

"Well, excuse me," Pluto muttered. She eyed me curiously. "Are you feeling better now?"

"Yeah, I am. I'm just tired," I told her, scooting her off my bed. "I want to see Michael now."

Sophia woke up early the next morning, throwing herself from her bed and falling to the floor. She winced, looking up at her roommate, sighing when she saw Pluto still sound asleep. Pluto would try to stop her if she knew where she was headed. Sophia quickly threw on a sweater and headed out towards Dawn's room.

Dawn needed to know what Sophia now knew and Sophia was sweating with nerves. She stood in front of Dawn's room, trying to convince herself to knock on the door. Sophia stuck her hand out, tentatively knocking on her door.

Somone rustled towards the door, opening it slowly. Dawn stood in front of her, wearing checkered boxer shorts and a baggy white shirt. It took Dawn a couple moments to realize it was Sophia who was standing in front of her door.

"Dawn, there's something I need to tell you," Sophia whispered.

"What are you doing here?" Dawn asked, confused as to why the girl who tried her hardest to be as far away from her as possible, was willingly at her door in the morning.

"I need to talk to you," Sophia answered.

"Now you want to talk?" Dawn asked, frowning at her ex-girlfriend.

"Yes, I've never been mad at you because you left. I was always mad that I never got to say goodbye, but I guess that's how the world is, that sometimes we don't get to say goodbye," I told her.

"That's what you wanted to talk about?" Dawn asked, frustrated that Sophia had just come back to start the fight again.

"It hurt that I never got to say goodbye, because I was scared that if something ever happened to you that I would forever be unable to say goodbye. I would regret that for the rest of my life, that and regret reading the hat fic," Sophia explained.
