Ok, I apologize in advance if this chapter is crappy. I'm only in middle school, and I don't know how to write from a grown man's perspective.
"Helen, Annabeth's going to be here any minute!" I yell to my wife.
"I'm almost finished setting the table! Where are Bobby and Matthew? They need to get dressed!" Helen cries. Suddenly, Bobby and Matthew come running downstairs, fully dressed.
"Hi Mom, is Annabeth here?" they ask in unison. Helen shook her head. You see, my daughter, Annabeth, is finally coming over to my house for two whole days! We hadn't heard from her in almost five years! My wife, Helen, had started warming up to her after the titan war and was a bit disappointed when she didn't come to visit us. And now she was finally coming! She said that she was bringing a really close friend of hers.
Now, to compensate for how I had treated her before she ran away, I decided to find her a good boyfriend. I had already found someone, too! His name was Matt Sloan (Oh gods, so cliché) and he was perfect for my Annie! He was very popular but got decent grades (yeah right). He was also the captain of the soccer team and was a teacher's pet. In a good way of course. (Barf)
So I had invited him over for dinner!DING DONG! Oh, that must be Annabeth! I walked to the door and opened it.
"Annie!" I cried. She looked like her normal self except for the fact that she had much more scars than the last time I had seen her and she looked like she had put on a few pounds (wink wink). Then I looked into her grey eyes. They looked broken, but I didn't know why.
"Don't call me that," she growled. Then I looked at the person next to her who was holding the suitcase. It was a boy. Wait, what? I thought she was going to bring one of her girl friends! The boy looked handsome, though. He had*insert Percy's description*. I began to wonder if this young man was her boyfr- no, she would have told me! (No, she wouldn't have, and yes, he is. Sort of.)
"Annabeth..." the young man nudged her forwards. She sighed and hugged me.
"Hi Fred- uh, I mean, hi, Dad," wow, that hurt. She was about to call me by my name.
"Annabeth, dear! How are you? Where are those scars from?! Did you get hurt somewhere?!" Helen asked, worriedly. Annabeth laughed.
"I'm fine, Helen! I got these in the Giant war..." she trailed off. Another war?
"Oh, who's this young man?" Helen asked.
"Oh, this idiot here is Seaweed Brai- I mean, this is Percy," she said. The boy-Percy-chuckled. I seriously began to wonder if this boy was her- no, he couldn't be! He looked like a player! (sigh)
DING DONG
The doorbell rang again. This time, Helen went to get it. She came back with Matt Sloan. Perfect! Now Annabeth would see how perfect he was, and ditch this Percy boy! (does he seriously not remember Percy?! Ok, I'll stop with these notes, sorry) Unfortunately, Annabeth was currently laughing at something Percy had said.
"Hey, Annie," Matt said, flashing a grin. She rolled her eyes and went back to Percy. Hmm... this may be harder than expected...
"ANNABETH, PERCY!!!!!" I heard Bobby and Matthew. Wait a second, how did the twins know the young man's name? I was about to ask when Matt asked,
"Percy? As in Percy Jackson?" he asked nervously. Percy nodded, then his eyes widened.
"You're Matt Sloan?" he asked. Matt gulped and nodded. Percy glared at him. Ha! He was scared that Matt was here to take Annabeth! I was one hundred percent behind Matt, though!
