HALLOWEEN CHAPTER :DDD

Marie's POV (daughter of Nemesis):

Ah, Halloween. 

Children running around, hyper because they ate too much candy. Scary costumes mixed with the stupid ones that had no effort put into them.

I hate Halloween.

I was ranting about this to my Halloween-loving friend who rolled her eyes at me as she set the large candy bowl outside. 

"I mean, what's the point? Young kids on sugar rushes, older kids who are drunk because someone sneaked alcohol to the party. What's fun about that?" I complained. My friend punched me in the shoulder and told me to shut up. 

The trick-or-treaters finally arrived at around 6:00. There were two boys dressed up as Thing One and Thing Two from Dr Seuss. (2000 DRACHMA iLeo GIFT CARD TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO KNOWS WHO THEY ARE)

I grudgingly dumped some chocolate into their pillowcases, muttering things under my breath. They thanked me and ran away, grinning. 

Honestly, after looking at their grins, I was concerned for my well being. Luckily I didn't explode or anything. 

"Marie, look out!" A voice cried as I opened the door for the next trick-or-treaters. My friend had thrown her sweater on the floor in front of the door. Without thinking, I stepped on it to annoy her. What I didn't realize was that the sweater was one of those really fluffy ones. As soon as I opened the door and let go of the doorknob, I slipped and fell face first onto the front porch. 

"Oh my gods, are you ok?" a male voice asked. I got up and looked at my hands, which were scraped. 

Sighing, I replied, "I'm fine, thank you. The candy's over there, help yourself."

The boy who had spoken to me immediately ran to the candy bowl while his friends stayed outside. 

I dusted myself off and got a better look at them. The first boy looked like he could be Superman's child, and he apparently knew that. He was wearing a Superman costume, with the cape and everything. 

Not gonna lie, he was pretty hot. I think I recognized him, too. He looked my age, we might've had some classes together at New Rome. 

The second boy was way shorter than Blonde Superman. He had messy black hair, and honestly looked like he would give anything to not be here. He wasn't really dressed up. He reminded me of my younger emo half-bro. He had a grey sweatshirt on, and it looked a little big on him. The boy looked a bit younger than Superman. 

The boy who'd ran to the candy finally went back outside. His left hand was full of all blue candy. That kind of surprised me because it doesn't make sense to go and find all the blue candy in the bag. It literally tastes the same as the red, or green. 

He was dressed as a mermaid. He had the tail, the shell bra, everything. I couldn't help but wonder if he was cold. He wasn't even carrying a jacket! Even his eyes fit the mermaid theme. They were a beautiful shade of sea green, with splashes of blue. I definitely recognized him, I just couldn't remember his name.

"Hey, thanks!" Mermaid boy said, walking away from my house. Superman and Emo followed him, saying thanks and leaving. It gave me the impression that even though Mermaid Boy had no clue what he was doing most of the time, he was a good leader. 

I stared as they walked away. Something about them felt different. I knew they were demigods, and I had the feeling that they were kind of well known! I just don't know their names! 

I walked into my house and gave my friend the candy bowl. She took over candy duty for me, and I sunk into my house and turned on the iLeo TV. 

The first thing that showed up was Mermaid Boy's face. His arm was around a pretty blonde girl. Oh, I definitely remember her. Annabeth Chase. 

I was apparently watching the Local New Rome News. It was talking about how Annabeth Chase has finally finished redesigning Olympus. It mentioned something about her boyfriend, Percy Jackson. 

Oh, Percy Jakcson!

WAIT I MET PERCY JACKSON????

guys this book has so many views, tysm. when i started this thing, i could not IMAGINE having so many people read this

ngl it's kinda intimidating at times? like, i'm trying to make sure everyone is happy with the book. 

but i love writing this. idk when i'm going to end it, but it's NOT going to be anytime soon
