Zino's POV

The days went by in a blur, with the group beginning to despair more and more as the minutes passed. We ha seven made a chart. The infected were none other than:
Shadow
Mitsuki
Kanna
Olivia
Joe
Daniel
Tsukki
Kai
The rest of us were... managing.
Every now and then, Monomia visits us and sometimes even spares us some food but... we had just under half our group down. It was hopeless. I wonder, what if we'd all died here?

Surprisingly, joe had gotten up after being hospitalised for only two days! Although he claimed to be fine, we could see the weakness on his face... it was depressing.
"Joe! You're awake!" Millie cheered to the male. He had sat up, immediately englulfed in a hug by the bluenette as she squeezed him.
"I thought Monomia said he was poisoned!"
"I did think that he was poisoned! Apparently the culprit it had some extra antidote and decided to be nice!" Monomia had popped up out of no where.
"Oh, it's the dick." Reika crossed her arms, pouting.
"Wow, Reika! So harsh!"
"Nope, just honest."
"Nehehe, not wrong! Oh well. Wonder who shoved a stick up your ass."
"On another note," Akui had spoken. "You said culprit, but weren't you the one who poisoned our food?"
"I never said that!" She shouted. "I said: Someone poisoned some of you~! By the food and drinks you're having right now, no less! I never once said that I was the one that poisoned your food." She had emphasised her 'I'. But who would poison us? I thought we were friends? The others seemed to just take the explanation, some sweatdropping.
"Well, I'm glad you're better dude." Akui high fived him, as the rest of us agreed. It was great to know that this wasn't immediately lethal.
"I'm glad i am too, it sucked being babied like that. Plus I get to see Millie's cute face again~!"
"Oh please!"

I can tell that despite how short we had all been together, Millie and Joe have really grown fond of each other. They definitely weren't the only ones who had grown closer, though. There was Kotori and Natsuki, who had bonded after Natsuki had her twin sister, Mitsuki, infected. There was Tsukki and Akui, who had somehow bonded during their one and a half days of searching together. There was also shadow and Haruna, and the latter seemed to be quite shocked and sad when the ravenette fell that day. Of course there was also me and Iryo, who just bonded because we did. Now that I think about it, maybe it's not so bad! Maybe we can escape here, happily, with new friends! It'll be great!

Iryo's POV

"Joe? Joe!!?" I'm woken back up to this hell of an abyss by Millie's screaming.
"Shut up...." Yagami stirrs awake. The others wake up as well, groans and muttering following suit.
"W-whats wrong?" I ask, unsure of what had gotten the bluenette so heated. (Bluenette autocorrected to blueberry and this is now what im going to call Millie please and thank you.)
"Joe! He's not here!" She seemed to panic, scrunching her nose and pulling her hair, like she was about to cry.

Stop being a baby.

"Worry not, we'll help you find him!"I stand up, dusting myself off and quickly rubbing the sleep from my eyes before waking up the others. As they woke and heard the news, they seemed to be brought to life once again.

"He's gone?" "Where?" "Who was with him?" "Is he dead?"
All these questions were being asked to everyone, and I couldn't think at all. What if he had died? What shall I do then?
"Shut up!" Kai had shouted. "It's too loud, I'm trying to think of where he could be. So.... be quiet." Her sentence got quieter as she felt everyone's burning eyes on her.
"So how'd we plan to find him?" Akui had asked the crowd.
"Split up and search?" Haruna had suggested.
"But if it's a corpse we find, wouldn't it be a bother for everyone to be in separate places and one of us find the body?" Reika had commented, to which Mizuki had replied hastily.
"W-Who's sure they're dead? What if he's just looking for attention like he does sometimes?"
"We always have that chance."
"There's no point in moving together, it'll just be longer for us to find him." Yagami had brought up.
"He makes a good point." I had agreed.
"Yes, I do."
"Well, I understand why Reika says we should move together." Zino was the one to speak up and refute Yagami. "It make things easier for everyone and, in the case of a murder, it prevents the killer from destroying any evidence, right?"
"That's what I was thinking, yeah."
"Well fine, if it makes you feel better." Yagami had huffed.
"So where to first?" Someone and asked.
"Why don't we go to the haunted house?" Reika suggested. Yagami scrunched his face and spoke, saying
"Oh, trust Reika to send us to the scariest place at the scariest time!"
"Please, you're just being a wimp." She replied. "I just chose a random place and you're whining about it."
"Since when were you this rude?"
"Since you decided to bitch the fuck up, what now?"
"Please no fighting!"
"No, I'm tired of this prick, always bringing bad news! Watch the body be in there!"
"Hey hey! No one has confirmed that Joe is dead!"
"We all know he's dead! Why else would he go and disappear in a killing game?!"
"Shut up."
"Don't tell me what do do!"
"What, did I hurt your ego?"

"Everyone stop it!!"

Millie's voice had broken out over the arguement. "Can we please just find Joe? I want to make sure he's safe! Let's stay together, okay?" She stomped off in a random direction, everyone else following soon after.

Time skip

We had been searching for what seemed like an eternity, the sun had already started to set! I couldn't help but to think weather or not Joe really was alive. It's horrible, I know, but I couldn't dismiss the possibility.
We had circulated the theme park, with us finding absolutely nothing. I could tell the others were getting tired, but Millie had insisted we checked the bathroom as a final effort, and no one could say no to her.

"Joe! This prank isn't funny, come out!" Akui shouted. He seemed restless, but I guess that's reasonable.I think they got along well.
"Joe! Come out!"
"Guys..." Reika called towards the group.
"Oh what now, bringer of bad news?" Yagami had clearly given her that nickname to agitate her, but she seemed unfazed.
"Look...."
Her thin finger pointed to the lockers, in which it was a truly gory sight. There was blood splattered everywhere, and the middle locker had a looming presence of horror.
Me and Millie walked towards the scene, dreading every step we took. My hand lingered on the locker door, shaking. Is he really dead? Has this abominable game already started? Who did it? I snapped beck into reality as I gripped the handle of the locker.
"There's no way!" With that, I swung open the door, my eyes squeezed shut. I opened them, instantly filling with regret for Millie. We are friends! Some of us don't get along well sure, but we should never murder! I had to think to myself. I lied to myself. I thought it was true, but alas.....

"Y-You're,,,, not serious,,,, it's impossible....." she had muttered words of denial to herself as she took a step back.

There lay Joe Shineda, mutilated and hanging above a small pool of blood. The smell was suffocating. Millie fell over and Haruna threw up, crying. It was a silent chaos, but the sharp breaths of the group and the trembling said more than enough. It sank in as I stared at him......

Joe Shineda was dead.

And one of us killed him.
