Still Here Ch. 9

Since I have been lagging so much these past weeks I'm going to make it up by making this chapter long. I've been working on this chapter all week. Yes believe it or not.

"Hey" I hear Joey's voice from behind me.

"Hi" I say not looking away from the city.

"What you doing?" Although it sounded more like 'whatcha doing'.

"Just looking at the city lights." I say as he sits down next to me.

"Why?"

"I'm not sure. I just like to watch them."

"Mhm"

"What?" I ask leaning on him.

"Nothing"

"What?"

"I think we should go inside it's getting pretty late and cold."

"I think you are right." We get up and head upstairs. Liz and Danny are already in their room.

"I think I need to take a shower." I say running my hand through my hair.

"I think you do. I can smell you all the way over here." He pinches his nose and slaps at the air.

"Whatever." I say playfully hitting him.

"Here I'll show you how to use this shower." We walk into the bathroom and he goes to start the water. I sit on the toilet and watch him.

"Here's the thing. Danny said that the hot is the cold and the cold is the hot."

"Ok"

"The towels are right there." He points to a door and I nod.

"What's wrong?" He asks walking over to me and kneeling down.

"It's just that your family makes me feel special." I say putting my hands by eyes.

"You are" He says putting his hands on mine and moving them away so that I can see his face. "You are. Smile" I half smile.

"Come on give me a smile." I smile. "That's it." I laugh and lean in and put my head on his forehead then lean out again. He's still holding on to my face. We look into each other's eyes and lean in and kiss. We end the kiss and I go in for another. He doesn't stop me.

Once we are done kissing we look at each other again. I raise my hands up and he takes off my shirt and stands up at the same time. I stand up and take his shirt off. He wraps his arms around me and we kiss again. Then we walk into the shower and let's just say we did more than take a shower.

*1 Week later*

I hear the alarm to my cell phone ring. It's seven in the morning, Chicago time by the way. I made sure to change the time the day of the party or as I like to remember the day I 'became a woman'.

The past week had been weird at times. Ok well just the Joey and I part had been weird. He didn't make fun of me, that much. He went to the stores with us, as in the girls. He was hugging me and kissing me on the cheek all the time. It was just weird. We hadn't repeated what happened the day of the party. Which I'm not going to lie I was kind of bummed out about as in that we hadn't done it again. Worst he still hadn't asked me out.

Now it's finally the wedding! I turn to the side and see Joey is still sleeping. He looks different from yesterday. Oh he cut his stubble. He looks good, more than yesterday.
