Still Here Ch. 8

Sorry I haven't uploaded I just finished the chapter and it's late but yea it's done now. At least I didn't take as long as last time.

After Liz and Danny left Joey and I just stood in the room not saying anything. It was really weird and I couldn't take it anymore.

"So, why does Liz call Danny pop tart?" I ask.

He laughs. "You see in high school Danny and I moved over here to Chicago to live with my Dad. Liz was our neighbor. As you can guess we car pooled to save gas. Anyways every morning Danny would, well still does, eat a pop tart for breakfast. At this time Liz and Danny HATED each other. Actually it was just mostly Liz who hated Danny because he beat up her boy friend at the time. Anyways back to the story. One day Liz got so mad at Danny she smeared all the jelly from the pop tart on Danny's face." He started laughing again.

"How did she manage to do that?" I asked while picturing what Liz had done.

"You see Danny has this weird thing of how he eats his pop tarts. After he cooks it he cuts it in half, you now like how when you spilt an Oreo in two to lick the cream well that's what he did. Since Liz was mad for what he had done she got revenge by pushing her hand on the pop tart and moving it all around his face and hair too." I laughed.

"I know after that she just started calling him pop tart face and eventually it just ended with pop tart." He made his way to his suit case.

"And why does he call her stinky?"

"If I remember right it was when went camping with her family. You see my Dad and her Dad were best friends all their life and we always did things together. Anyways, we went camping one weekend." He laughed "Danny and me went 'exploring' and found a family of skunks" He laughed again "We walked back to the camp and he told Liz he had found a hurt bird that it looked really bad." More laughter "Liz being the caring person she is said for him to take her to the bird. He started walking her over to the 'hurt bird' he then told her that he was going to go get a box. She agreed. Instead he walks around and starts messing with the skunks. Once Liz walks close enough they pee on her." He laughs again. "She was so mad. She didn't talk to him for two weeks. Since she smelled so bad we had to let her stay in a tent by herself, but as punishment for Danny he had to stay with her in the tent and that's how she got her name stinky."

I laughed. "I can't believe they did that to each other."

"I know" He laughed taking off his shirt and pants and slipping into his pajamas.

"How did they end up together then?"

"Two weeks after we went camping Danny was driving to work and a drunk driver hit him."

"Oh my gosh!"

"Yea I know. Luckily he survived and ended up with just a broken leg and arm and a few scratches. Again Liz being the caring person she is started helping Danny as much as she could. She'd make him food; help him stay in track at school by doing his notes and teaching him all the things he had missed at school."

"They had the same classes?" I interrupted.

"They took the same classes but at different times, I think they might have had one or two classes together. Anyways from there they kind of became a 'thing'. Literally they did everything together. They went to each other's games. All the dances they went together. He didn't even have to ask her to prom because they just knew they were going with each other."
