I pull away and look at Joey who is now standing on the side of me. "Bye Franco."
"Actually Philips do you mind giving me a ride? I kind of came here with Chris but as you can see he's not here."
"Sure whatever." I turn and walk back outside. Great a drive back down to Santa Cruz with the old Joey. This should be interesting.

"Franco! Stop touching the radio!" I slap his hand away while I keep the other on the wheel. This is the fifth time he's done that. I strictly told him that he couldn't touch the radio if I was giving him a ride home.
"I'm just going to switch it to something better." He brings his hand back to the radio.
"This station is good." I slap his hand away again.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes now don't touch."
"Wow this station is stupid."
"Your face is stupid." I retort. "Look just let this song finish then you can change it." Gosh old Joey is really annoying. Where's the Joey from yesterday?
"You like this song?"
"I don't just like the song, I love it."
"I didn't know you like this kind of music." I could feel him staring at me.
"Well now you do." I smile looking at him.
"Keep your eyes on the road you're going to kill us!" His eyes are wide and he's looking at the road like if something is going to pop out of the ground and we're going to hit it.
I start laughing at him and turn back to the road.
"What are you laughing at?"
"You"
"Why?"
"The expression you had on your face." I laugh remembering how his eyes were open wide and how he was trying to press on an invisible brake on the passenger side.
"How do you think I got the scar?" He turns his head and looks out the window. I stop laughing.
"You were in an accident?" I ask and he nods his head still not turning to see me. I start humming to Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis since he didn't want to talk about the accident.
The song finishes and I watch him reach for the radio from the corner of my eyes.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"You said I could switch the station."
"I did but I love this song more than the other one."
"Are you serious? You're going to keep saying that aren't you? I rather walk all the way back." I start switching lanes until I pull over to the side of the freeway. "What's wrong?" He asks.
"You said you wanted to walk all the way over there." I say innocently.
"It was a joke. Please don't leave me here."
"Are you going to stop complaining?" I ask trying not to laugh at what he had said.
"Yeah sure"
"Okay then I won't leave you here." I smile and drive back into traffic.
"Were you really going to let me walk all the way back to my house?"
