They left that morning.

Annalise and Liam had talked about it without Phin's knowledge and left her with no warning.

Maybe it was for the best. If Phin had to look into Annalise's eyes one more time, she just might have died on the spot.

And if Liam had tried to say goodbye, she would have died on the spot.

Phin didn't blame them. She had lied all along. And for what? What was her reason?

Trust.

It's always been about trust.

She had trusted once. She had loved once.

And now where was she?

She was the one that had betrayed.

She had become the very thing she hated.

Of course I could trust them. I always could trust them. I could have trusted them the moment they walked through the door of that house. And in a way, she always had.

But then there was Chris. He had told her not to let them out of sight. That they knew too much. They could betray her. That they couldn't be trusted.

Now she was surrounded by memories. Some long ago, and others very recent. Phin hated this house.

And now she was sitting in the center of it, all alone.

"Hey, where did everybody go?"

Like she was saying, all alone.
