After sitting dumbfounded for a few minutes Victor decided to come over and walk me through my phone, which I thanked him for.

"You're welcome." Victor shot me a small smile. "Now, your school supplies should have already been dropped off in your room, so I suggest you get ready. You'll be leaving with Jay and Dimitri every morning at 6:30."

"What about Chris?" I franticly blurted. Victor looked displeased at my sudden outburst, which took me a moment to register. Why did he stop talking? I mentally facepalmed at my simple mistake, so I quickly apologized and he continued. Victor is way too formal for my liking...

"Chris is a senior and leaves separately. You'll most likely be around those two since they're juniors and you're a sophomore." Of course... "Do you have any questions for me?" I shook my head, nervously biting my lip out of habit. "I said do you have any questions?" Victor repeated, his voice deepened. Oh...

"No, I don't... Thanks for showing me how to use this." I raised my phone, wanting this day to be over. Victor nodded in acknowledgement, and got up from his chair.

"I'll be going to work now. If you need anything don't hesitate to call one of us." With that, Victor walked out of the kitchen, heading towards the corridor that let to the living room. I, out of curiosity, had the strange urge to follow him. Are you crazy?! A voice screamed in my head. Well, there was no other exit that I knew of besides the one here in the kitchen so... what the hell? I shrugged, stood up from the wooden seat, and shuffled my way where my older brother just disappeared.

In a couple of seconds I found myself standing alone in the living room. Huh... where did he go? The tv was still on, displaying a pixelated cowboy riding through town with a big iron resting in his holster. The sofas were empty, with a discarded blanket tossed careless over one. My eyes carefully analyzed every nook and cranny that I could make out in the dimly lit room. I jumped when I heard a gunshot, but quickly realized it was the cowboy on screen. I let out a relived sigh, resting a hand on my chest. This place is a bit creepy...

Victor must be fast because I concluded that he went upstairs, but how did he go up so quietly? Is there a secret corridor or exit that I don't know of? I took a step towards the staircase only to pause. Was that...?

"Oh..." There was a rosewood door not four steps away from me, standing at the end of the staircase. How could I have not noticed that before? It nearly blended in with the wall. I took a careful step towards the peculiar door, wondering where it led. Was it another exit that Victor used? Or a plain closet? Was it an extra bedroom? Bathroom even? My eyes lit up with excitement at the possibility. Sharing one bathroom with six men wasn't going to be a pleasant experience...

I was just about to reach for the handle when another thought came to me. What if it leads to the basement? Oh no. Now my stomach pooled with worry and thrill. Leon was dead set on making sure that I didn't go in the basement... But I was still pissed about the whole dating thing. I knew I shouldn't look with the possibility of intrusion, but that's what makes it oh so tempting. Defiance flowed through my veins, daring me to open the door. One peek wouldn't hurt, right? Then again I should probably be grateful to Leon with him giving me a phone, and genuinely taking me under his roof... well, Mr. Damion Khigir's really...

I decided; just one peek at this newly found door and then I'd head upstairs. My hazel orbs darted around my surroundings, scanning the area to make sure no brother of mine snuck up on me. All right, here we go. My nimble hand curled around the cool handle, and began to turn. I was quiet about the whole ordeal, even pausing when I heard a soft 'click.' This is it, watch it be a closet or something.
