Needless to say, that peaceful slumber was short lived, and yet the run seemed to take forever. Malik unsurprisingly didn't join us, so it was just Chris, Dimitri, and I. This time I'm pretty sure I ran even less than yesterday. I couldn't help it though; I was exhausted. Dimitri ran back with me again, and suggested that I take a cold shower to wake up. Hell no.

I found myself in my room afterwards, looking through my clothes. I picked out skinny jeans, a white blouse, and Karine's jacket. I smiled sadly, holding out the green coat in front of me. Maybe I'd be able to return it to her one day. Maybe. I slipped my phone in my back pocket and threw my bag over my shoulder. I was ready. My long hair cascaded behind me with some obscuring my face. I puffed and tucked it behind my ears. I was proud of myself today, because I remembered to bring Emily's uniform with me.

I made my way downstairs, said hello and goodbye to Chris, got a cup of coffee off of Dimitri who had one of his own, and found myself in the car. Jay got us there in no time flat as per usual.

"Yulia." Braydon greeted me with a nod. We were walking in with the crowd, my brothers getting lost in the mob.

"Braydon." I tipped my imaginary hat.

"Good to see you reporting for duty." He teased, flashing me his pearly whites.

"Of course, sir!" I saluted. Braydon snorted. "Oh- I almost forgot!" I smirked, is it true that you didn't have to run yesterday in PE?" I looked at him excitedly.

"Oh hell yeah! It rained so much yesterday the entire track flooded." He held up his arms victoriously.

"No way!" I chuckled. "I didn't even know it rained yesterday, honestly."

"Oh right, Charlotte said you went home early, are you feeling any better?"

"Oh yeah- yeah I'm fine." I waved him off. We were almost to Mr. McLeod's class of doom. I was ready to go home just at the thought of math. "Hey we didn't get any math homework last night, did we?" Brandon facepalmed.

"You're joking." He looked at me with disbelief but that soon turned into laughter.

"Hey- hey Braydon! Cut it out! Tell me!" I whacked his arm. He wasted no time speeding ahead of me. We walked into McLeod's room. Most students were already seated, including Charolette.

"Hey Charlotte." Braydon greeted, sitting next to her.

"Hi!" She smiled. "Yulia!" She beamed upon seeing me, causing me to laugh at her reaction.

"Hey Charlotte." I took my seat behind her.

"How are you feeling?" She turned around to face me.

"Better, so much better." I nodded. "Oh do you think it'll rain again so we'll forfeit running?" I grinned wickedly at my brunette friend.

"Oh, I wish but the forecast is calling for sun with no clouds in sight." Charlotte smiled sadly.

"Just my luck. I swear I miss one period and that's the day we did absolutely nothing. Great, just great." I complained.

"Alright, quiet down everyone!" Mr. McLeod made his way into the classroom, setting his briefcase on his desk. Everyone turned towards the old man. "Now, if you would kindly pass up last nights homework." My mouth formed an "o" as soon as the words left his mouth. The entire class, excluding me, shuffled through their folders and began passing up their papers.

"I told you so." Brayden whispered teasingly my way, his eyes shining with mirth.

"You mean those problems in the book were-"

"Miss Khigir?" McLeod questioned, effectively cutting me off and turning everyone's attention towards me. I gulped.

"Y-yes?"
