I went to play that new game before going to bed, I don't run on sleep, it's all caffeine. As I logged on I saw I had around 3 notifications, apparently the person I friended was online, and they sent me a few messages, so naturally I opened the chat.
candy_qu33n: I never got to ask what are your pronouns?
y/u: I go by she/her! (or whatever else)
candy_qu33n: ok cool mine are also she/her, and while we are chatting just call me ru
y/u: k will do, I don't really have a nickname so just use my user
candy_qu33n: k, have you leveled up since yesterday?
y/u: yep i'm level 43 now, i dont sleep.
candy_qu33n: same I function on snacks, coffee is overrated.

You know what, I'll level up tomorrow. I haven't gotten enough sleep in ages....but video games....but sleep.....video games..i'm going to bed. Final decision. I was already in bed so just put the phone down and put the switch away. It's very tempting to just go on tiktok and scroll, but I won't. I'm going to get a good night's sleep, for once.
Morning
I woke up to my alarm clock screeching right in my ear, it hurt. My dumb alarm doesn't have a snooze button cause its annoying and my mom bought it, so obviously I had to get up out of bed, crying internally. I got the uniform on and wore some black thin tights. It wasn't cold today so I wouldn't freeze to death with just this on. I got my phone and switch and dumped them into my bag first because they are the necessities. Then I put all of my school books and homework and stuff. Then I did all of the basic hygiene stuff, like brushing your teeth. I decided to put my hair up in a bun, but a loose one. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to get my early morning coffee, my mom had made it this morning and it was on the kitchen table with some pancakes and a note that read "have a good day at school! Me and your father had to leave early due to work xoxo mom" I dug into breakfast and drained my coffee. Sliding across the floor I got to my families shoe rack and jumped into some dr. martens, we have to take them off at the entrance anyways.
As I walked up to the school I saw Yumeko there probably waiting for someone, and as soon as her eyes landed on me, she waved me over to where she was waiting. "Hey y/n! How are you?" Yumeko said sweetly. "Could be better." I shrugged "I'm waiting for my match to be over." she nodded understandingly "Your match today is the talk of the school, everyone's saying you're gonna lose." she rolled her eyes at that "Even if you do lose I know it won't be an easy win for Itsuki, she isn't really the brightest." Yumeko winked. Right before we were about to head inside Ryota came and took Yumeko with him, he really thinks he has a chance doesn't he. I shook my head and got to the shoe cabinets.
As I closed my cabinet I saw Runa waiting right behind it. "You didn't forget about your match right? Nyahahaha anyone in your position would be terrified right now, not you though. You do seem confident that you're going to win nyahahaha." she giggled "I'm going to be present at your match, don't try to cheat, I will call you out on it." she stared me dead in the eyes, then giggled and bounced away, throwing a lollipop stick into a trash can. What is up with her? She goes from creepy to smirking in a matter of seconds? Well what can I expect from someone on the infamous student council.
The morning went on forever, there wasn't any time to gamble so obviously everyone was groaning of boredom, I actually got an hour of sleep in, sure I missed a math lesson or two, but khan academy exists for a reason ya know. The last minute of history ticked by everyone squirming to go gamble, well except the house pets. Yumeko wasn't paying attention at all, just taking notes. Who would've expected Yumeko to be at the top of the class? She was tied with Mary and I, but whatever. Ryotas grades dropped ever since Yumeko transferred, he stared at her with a dumb look on his face, it's the last thing I ever wanted to see.
The last second ticked, and everyone ran out of the classroom, while Yumeko, Mary, Ryota and I just walked out. Ryota is the type that would run out, but he obviously wants to impress his queen. Yumeko and Mary accompanied me along the way to the hall, but Mary had to go clean something up, and she was not happy about it. "Y/n!" Yumeko threw her hands around me, hugging me tight "Good luck on your match with Itsuki!" I briefly thanked her and walked over to where I saw b/f/n. "Y/n! I was looking for you! I heard rumors that you challenged Itsuki to a match to get on the student council, but I know they aren't true, it's you after all." She said, eagerly signaling me to agree with her "Well those rumors are half true." she looked at me with panic written all over her face "I never challenged her, I just got to choose who to gamble with." I shrugged "YOU DID WHAT?!" She screamed terrified " I know you're good at gambling and all, BUT THAT"S INSANE! I BECAME DEEPER INTO DEBT AFTER HAVING AN OFFICIAL MATCH!" she lowered her voice "You out of all people know they cheat!" she whisper yelled. "I have a plan, jeez, you can watch me gamble if you want though." I shrugged. She grumbled and reluctantly followed me to where itsuki was.
"You already know the rules of this Y/n, but don't expect me to play easy." Itsuki smirked. "How much are we betting?" I asked, getting straight to the point. "How about a million yen, nyahahahaha." Runa laughed walking up to the table, expecting me to ask for a low bet. "That works." I replied. A small flicker of surprise wandered across runa's face, only visible for a split second. "All set then?" A voice said from the shadows "K-kirari?!" Itsuki sputtered as the president came forward "Yes it is me." Kirari rolled her eyes "I had nothing to do." Kirari shrugged as she dropped into a chair to spectate the match. Kirari waved her hand, signaling to Itsuki to start.
