Elliot’s POV

I looked around the halls and found exactly who I was looking for, Leila. I walked to her making sure to not get her attention as I sneaked up behind her and poked her back. Leila stood up straight and looked behind her,

“Elliot!” she looked at me with a frown.

I smiled at her reaction and pulled her beanie off her head fast. Leila immediately whined and pouted in reaction.  As Leila began trying to reach for the beanie and started stepping back and slowly began running away with her beanie. Leila ran after me, but I’ve always been faster than her.

“Elliot!” Leila yelled while laughing and running after me.

“You’re so slow!” I yelled back running in front of her laughing.

“No I’m not,” she mumbled as I heard her increase her speed.

Just to tease her I stopped running and held her beanie high in the air, thanks to my height.  I looked down at her just in time to see her fold her arms across her chest cutely.

“Elliot give me my beanie,” she tried demanding as strongly as possible. But all it did was make her sound adorable.

“You can have it if you can reach it,” I answered smiling down at her

I was surprised when Leila stood still and looked up at me trying to stare me down.  I tried to not laugh but after a few minutes of Leila’s staring I burst out laughing. I held my stomach as I laughed closing my eyes. As I laughed I felt a poke to my stomach and the beanie being pulled away from my grasp fast.

“That’s no fair!” I yelled out.

“What’s not fair,” Leila said back with an innocent smile on her lips.

“You poked me,” I argued while pouting and crossing my arms, I know I looked silly but it was me and Leila.

“Well you took my beanie,” Leila argued back at me while sticking out her tongue at me.

“Well,” I was cut short as the sound of the class bell rang telling us we had to hurry up and go to class.

I glanced at Leila and smiled when I saw her looking back at me. We counted to three and sprinted to our lockers racing each other. I laughed and ran faster when I looked back at Leila behind me. I reached my locker, which was next to Leila’s. I smirked when I saw Leila groan and open her locker pouting. I waited as Leila finished getting her stuff as we both walked back to our class. I opened the door for her and slipped into the classroom behind her. We walked to our seats, which were parallel to each other in the same table which were groups of 4. I sat down quickly and smiled at Leila, the second I opened my mouth to say something the teacher spoke,

“Everyone get their textbooks out,”

I opened my textbook in front of me and I looked at the page. I scrunched my nose up when I realized we would have to read so much.  Instead of focusing I looked in front of me and kicked Leila’s foot every once in a while. Later I decided to stop kicking and I just stayed still and looked up at her, I smiled a bit as a looked at her. She caught me a few times, but I looked away fast. When I turned back I saw Leila half-asleep with her head on her textbook yawning.   To wake her up I kicked her ankle fast, she shot up and sat up straight glaring at me. I mouthed the words ‘Don’t Sleep’ she groaned and looked around the classroom. Everyone was obviously bored they were either asleep, listening to music, or some were trying to listen but they were too sleepy. I kept looking at the other students I smirked when I saw my friend begin to doze off. I threw a paper ball in his direction hitting his head perfect aim. After I threw the paper ball I turned back around just in time to see Leila blushing and looking behind me. I was curious so I turned around and saw her wiggling her eyebrows at Leila and myself. I decided to tease Leila about this,
