I sighed,I looked down at my slightly damp skirt that was slowly dripping onto the floor. 'Should I get up?' I silently disagreed with myself, instead I decided what to do. Slowly shifting to the corner closest to the door. I curled up into a ball allowing Elliot's warm hoodie to cover my knees. I moved closer to the hoodie burying my nose against the fabric. 'Smelled just like him.' I thought. I guess his woodsy scent stayed with him throughout the time he was gone.

"Leila!" my mom yelled loudly.

I looked up immediately seeing my mother standing a few feet away from me, "Hey mom,".

"What are you doing curled up into a ball next to the doorstep get up right now," she said obviously trying not to yell.

"I'll get up in a few minutes," I tried to bargain with her.

"Leila get up right now to your room and change your clothes you're going to get sick,"

My only response was a groan which earned me a sigh from my mom. I got up slowly pulling the sleeves over my hands to keep them warm,I ran up the stairs taking 2 at a time. The second I reached my room I quickly got into routine. I plugged my phone into the charger,I took off the hoodie and hung it on the knob of the door. I looked around my room for my bag,I groaned when I realized I left it downstairs. I ran  downstairs grabbing my bag and back up trying to catch my breath. By the time I was in front of my room I was heaving to catch my breath, suddenly from my room I heard a song play.

'Oh my god,"I muttered under my breath opening my door.

A whole new world blared from my phone speaker, quickly I answered it.

"Hello,"I said answering the phone.

"Surprise" she said sounding guiltily amused.

"Chloe how many times did I tell you not change my ringtone,"

"Never?" she said innocently

"I told you so many times you know I don't know how to change it back,"

"I'll change it back in school,"

"Fine,"I mumbled dragging out the word.

Right when I was about to say something else Chloe hung up fast. Thats weird of her...

When I looked at my phone clock it read: 4:55. Elliott popped back into my mind,I shook my head.

'Stop Leila Stop' I thought.

To get my mind off I decided to go and practice some basketball. I went to my closet and took off my school clothes, throwing my previously wet skirt into the laundry basket. I got dressed in some black leggings and a jersey, with my black shoes tied. I grabbed my phone,a hair tie putting it around my right wrist, and a water bottle. Happy with how I look I ran downstairs.

"Mom I'm going to go play some basketball I'll be back in a while," I yelled loud enough for my mom to hear.

"Don't stay out too late," she yelled back.

I opened the door and I walked outside letting my hair sway as I walked. I started running, trying my best to not allow my thoughts to consume me. A few minutes later I was there I put my phone and bottled water at the bench next to the court. And grabbed one of the basketballs that were always kept under that bench. I cracked my knuckles and jogged into the court.

To warm myself up I started dribbling using my right hand, after a while I started shooting them aiming for the hoops. Before I knew it time passed and half an hour passed,I decided to take a break. So I went and walked to the bench sitting down with my cold water bottle I let my thoughts consume me. 'Elliot...'

Elliot's POV

'Leila...' I thought

I can't seem to get her out of my head. I have to figure out a way to let her forgive me. I didn't mean to leave just like that without a reply. Leila meant everything to me I wouldn't do that to her purposely, what actually happened was that my parents came and took me away. It wasn't my fault, but she doesn't know that. And apparently she doesn't want to know, she moved on.

An alarms from my phone interrupted my thoughts,I looked up in an instant. On my phone the name Jake is in bold. I grabbed the phone and answered.

"Elliotttt," he yelled.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"I'm coming over,same house right?"

"Um yeah but why are you coming over?"

"Because," he said lamely, now that I listen carefully I can hear the faint sound of cars driving.

"Fine come over," I hung up.

I walked out to the bathroom and looked at the mirror.

"Elliot Leila moved on you should too. Nothing is going to change her mind.Don't hurt yourself." I said out loud, sounding out my thoughts. I closed my eyes trying to belive my own lie filled words. I sighed and walked away taking my phone in my hands.

'Just move on.'
