Elliot's POV
God I'm finally going back home. I hope my friends are still in the same school. I have only this year with them till everyone leaves.
I got dressed fast and went downstairs I sat on my suitcase, which were by the door since last week. What can I say? I'm really excited about going back. Not that this place is bad though, I just miss my friends.
"Elliot are you ready?" my dad yelled out from upstairs.
"I'm already downstairs hurry up, will you?" I yelled back.
My mother ran down the stairs grinning," ready to go?" I smiled back at her and nodded.
Both of us have been excited the whole week to go back home and see her old friends too.
"Don't you guys want breakfast?" my dad questioned when he went downstairs and saw both my mom and I sitting on our bags waiting.
"Nope," my mom and I said in sync.
"You both have to eat," my dad frowned. I can tell he was the least excited about going back. But, its mostly cause he's going back to his old job which he didn't enjoy as much as the job he had here.
"We can eat on the way," I said grinning trying to hurry my dad.
Just before my dad was going to argue my mom spoke up,
"Good idea. We are eating on the way, right?" she looked back at my dad when she asked that. And by her tone and the look she was giving my dad I knew he couldn't say no. I smirked when I saw him nod. Dad grabbed my mother's bag and his bag.
"How about my mine dad," I smirked jokingly at him.
"Shut up Elliot," my dad replied low enough so my mother couldn't hear him.
"Don't forget Elliot's bag honey," my mom said smoothly shooting my dad a look at the side of her eye.
My dad groaned and grabbed my bag I laughed when he shook his head at us.
"You guys are ganging up on me," my dad mumbled at us.
I high-fived my mom and opened the door for my dad as my mother left to the kitchen to get us breakfast. As soon as my mother was out of the room my dad threw my bag at me, I laughed when he dragged me outside.
"Don't tell your mother," my dad told me looking at me sternly.
I tossed my bag in the trunk and helped dad with the other bags. As soon as we were finished loading the car my mom ran out the house with a big bag of snacks. My mother hates airplane food. No joke, she hates that stuff with a passion.
We all jumped into the car and my dad started the car, my mother and I were practically jumping the whole ride to the airport. As I walked into the airport I smiled. I love airports. Some people might hate them but I love them. Without airports how can people travel?
All of us finished the security check fast and went to the plane lanes to check our tickets, but sadly there was a small problem with the tickets. I was freaking out, but my mom told me to relax as my dad began arguing with the assistants. I heard our plane being called for boarding I started pacing.
"Elliot calm down," my mother said.
"Our plane is boarding," I told her nervously.
"We fixed the tickets we can go in now," my dad said as he walked to us.
"I'll meet you there the gate is closing soon I'll run and tell them to wait." I told my dad while grabbing the tickets and the passports.
"Be careful," my mom told me.
