*Elliots POV*

I continued repeating my own lying thoughts in my head. Each thought repeated and repeated echoing in my head causing it to spin, my room followed the rhythm. Quickly I used my walls as my support and slowly I gained steadiness. After washing my face I felt my thoughts slowly silence then I heard the loud echoing sound of my doorbell followed by two knocks and then a door open and close. Right as I was about to question who came in I hear, "Elliotttt, where you at?"

Jakes here. "In my room, where else?" I yelled back at him. And like flash he appeared in my room, closing the door behind him.

"Hey man," Jake said walking in.I nodded closing the door behind him. I jumped over the couch I had in the corner and laid down hands under my head.

"How do you like it back?" Jake asked sitting down.

"So far not that bad just trying to get everything back to normal" I answered knowing exactly what I meant

"Well if you want normal then lets go," Jake got up walking back to the door

"Where are you going? You just came,"

"Chill come on put on your basketball shoes,"

I just shook my head and walked to the shoe closet putting on my basketball shoes. And passing jake another pair of basketball shoes. Since he was wearing plain converse. After putting on and tying the shoes we both walked out of the house. Jake seemed to know exactly where to go since he started jogging away, I ran after him. After running around for awhile we both ended up in the empty basketball court. I looked around seeing a half full water bottle and a basketball on top of the bench. Jake took the basketball and passed it to me,which due to habit caused me to catch it and start dribbling towards the basket. I did a lay up and shot it up to the basket getting right into the net catching it when it fell back down. Jake yelled applauding since it went into the basket. I laughed at his old antics. While we were laughing I heard soft footsteps walking into the court. We both turned around to face the new comer.

I stopped in surprise,

"Leilaaa," Jake yelled out walking towards her.

I stared at his back thinking, 'They still talk?'

"Hey jake," she said softly giving him a small hug which jake happily returned.

My hands turned to fists and I closed my eyes stuffing them into my pockets. I walked front putting one of my hands on Jake's shoulder trying to control myself.

"Hey leila," I said calmly with a smile.

"Hi," she said nodding her head at me.

'He got a hug and I get a nod' I thought clenching my jaw tight.

"Bro," Jake said lifting his shoulder up to push my hand away which apparently was holding on tightly.

"Sorry," I coughed out stuffing both my hands into my pockets.

"So Jake what are y'all doing here? You don't live here now do you?" she said obviously trying to ignore my gaze.

"He doesn't but I do." I looked right at her when she turned to face me.

"Oh," she tilted her head to the side.

I tried to hide my smile when she did that. She used to always tilt her head when she was in deep thought. I guess some things never change.

Jake coughed awkwardly,"So how about we play some basketball?"

"Sure lets go," Leila said smiling.
