Chapter 6: The Leak

Wu walked to the back entrance of Cole's nightclub and knocked. A small eye slot was slid open and someone on the inside stared at the man. "Who are you?" They asked skeptically. "Tell Cole his Sensei is here." Wu said and the man on the other side glared before closing the eye slot and walking up to Cole's office and knocking on the door.

Cole, who was on a video call with someone, sighed and narrowed his eyes at the door. "Make it quick or loose your head!" He called and the man creaked the door open. "Mr. Hence? Some guy is out the back door. Said to tell you that your Sensei is here?" Said the man and Cole's eyes widened before looking back at his computer. "I'll call you back Jack." He said before hanging up. "Bring him in and play nice. He's a very important man!"

When Wu was brought to Cole's office, the club owner stood up and gave the man a low and respect filled bow. "Sensei." He said calmly and Wu smiled as he shut the door behind him. "Cole, so nice to see my former protege once more." He said as Cole slowly righted himself again and politely offered him a seat.

"The pleasure is all mine Wu. You're the man who saved me after all." Cole said as Wu sat on the couch in his lounging corner. Cole then took his place on a cushioned chair across from Wu before speaking. "What is the reason for this visit? You aren't the type to make social calls and you never do anything without reason." Cole questioned as he texted someone to bring them some tea.

"Ah, I require your aid." Wu said as he glanced around the room, nothing Cole's modern style. The large glass wall behind his desk that gave him a birds eye view of the club and the balcony that hung off it, the one wall filled with different safes and file drawers, and the lounge area they were in with one of those fake digital fireplaces that came out of the coffee table with a holographic flame and the soft L shaped couch, love seat, two soft chairs, and day bed around it, and a large dip in the floor were the floor became glass with a fish tank below it and a large black and orange bed that had drapes around it that could be used for further privacy. Cole even had a mini kitchenette in there.

"Aid? What with?" Cole asked in confusion, not sure what he could possibly help a man like Wu with. "I'm putting together a team of unique talents to find my sister-in-law and Kai's little sister faster. My nephew came to me about the issue and since this is stumping a detective as brilliant as that cocky redneck it's about time he finally got some appropriate help. Perhaps my brother will listen to me now." Wu answered him, but only left the younger male more confused.

"What do you mean? I mean, I know about Misako and Nya. Hell, Kai asked me help keep Nya safe and I failed him. However, what can I do? I still need to track the leak that lead to Nya's abduction." Cole said just before a knock sounded on the door and he went to get it, retrieving the tea tray and dismissing the person that brought it. He then locked the door and set the tray down between him and Wu, pouring them each a cup.

"Do you doubt your abilities Cole? Because no one read a man like an open book like you can." Wu said as he excepted his tea from Cole. "To be honest? Right now I am. I can't believe one of my men turned on me. I was so sure they were all loyal." Cole said and Wu listened quietly.

"Cole, you read men perfectly fine. You can see into a persons soul through their eyes. It's a unique talent to have such a defined intuition Cole. It's something that stays with you." Wu said and Cole scoffed. "Yeah right. If that's so, then how do you explain what happened? The man that was watching Nya was killed Wu. I have a leak."

"Easy, I believe your men may be to loyal. Your leak may be trying to protect you. Think about it. You have many enemies and extremely loyal men that would die for you. You've made a network where everyone on the inside behave more like a large family then coworkers and your the family head." Wu said before taking a long sip of tea. "What are you saying? That someone made a leak by threatening my life?" Cole asked and Wu nodded. "It's quite possible."
