Chapter 12: The Hot & Cold Lead

Cole sat in his club, lounging on a 'U' shaped couch when a woman sat beside him. "Vanessa." He said and she smiled as she sipped from her glass. "Cole."

"Got the info I asked for?" He asked and she nodded. "Yup. Some guy suddenly became a big shot. He has a Skullkin name... What was it?" She said, trailing off at the end as she attempted to recall the name. "Skullkin? As in the country of Skullmure?" Cole asked and she nodded. "Yeah, I believe it was... Aha! Samikai!" She suddenly shouted at the end.

"Either way..." She blushed in embarrassment. "He used to be the lapdog for one of your predecessor's enemies. The guy disbanded before you took over and Samukai disappeared but suddenly had a presence again about a week before Misako disappeared. There's some buzz about it in the black market network." She went on to explain.

"Sounds interesting." Cole said while in thought. "Anything else smell fishy?" He asked and she nodded. "The leader of the Hypnobrai gang. Buzz is his grandson just came to the country from their homeland of Serpenhime. No one knows what for yet though." She said as she relaxed back in the seat.

"Thanks." Cole said and she nodded. "Now for payment.~" She said with a wink while sliding closer, but Cole slid away. "Not that kind of payment." He said and she pouted. "Did someone kick you in your boys again?" She asked and he shook his head. "No, Vanessa. I have no intention of paying you like that ever again. So here." He said before handing her a wad of cash.

She looked to him like he grew a second head. "Coleman Hence, the biggest player in Ninjago City. Turning down sex?" She asked, looking concerned. "Do you have a feever or something?" She asked and Cole rolled his eyes. "I met someone, okay? I'm actually serious about this one. He's the one." Cole said and she scoffed. "Great. Now you." She said before taking off with the cash.

Cole sighed before checking his phone, having received a text from Jay during that conversation.

Jay:
Hey, R U free 2Day?

Cole smiled when he saw the text.

Cole:
Watching the club today, but you're free to stop by. I gave the bouncer ur pic so he should let U in on sight.

Jay:
Depends. Will you let me focus on my homework?

He grinned before texting back.

Cole:
Why do homework when you have me? ;)

Jay:
Oh gosh! You did not just type that! XD
Jay:
I have to do this homework by midnight. I would do it at home, but it's mostly math and believe it or not I focus better when I'm around distractions, but I quite obviously have none at my place.

Cole chuckled and started walking towards his office.

Cole:
Sure thing. I have some paperwork to do anyways so that should keep my hands off you for a bit. ;P ;)

Jay:
So long as your hands know their limits. ;) <3

Cole gained a goofy grin as he stepped into the glass elevator to take him up to his office.

When Jay got to the club he walked in and made his way to the elevator with a smile. Once he made his way into Cole's office, he smiled when he saw Cole focusing on his computer and completely unaware of Jay's arrival.
