I woke up with my head resting on someone’s chest and arms wrapped loosely around me. For a moment I was completely lost until I remembered what had happened the night before. Camile and I getting pretty intense on the couch, my mom yelling at us and my hour long cry session in Camila’s arms. We must have fallen asleep as she held me. I looked up towards the brown eyed beauty trying not to wake her.

Camila was the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. She looked so cute and peaceful in sleep. I couldn’t bring myself to look away. Her features were relaxed and she seemed happier somehow, like the demons who haunted her during the day gave her a break from the constant torment. I knew she tried to hide that something was wrong, she was good at it really, but I could see through it all.

I don’t know how long I had been watching her, it could have been minutes or hours, when I finally got up from under her sleeping embrace and went to make some pancakes and bacon.

After setting the table, I went to wake up the little ones to get ready for soccer. They were sleeping all cuddled together. They were so adorable that I had to take a picture to show Camz later. I sat on the edge of the bed, rubbed their backs and sang the same song I always did when I woke Taylor up.

Sofia was the first to wake up. She looked exactly like what I would imagine a younger Camila would when she was sleeping. She blinked a few times trying to register what was happening and then she gave me a huge smile.

“Morning Lauren” She greeted me.

“Morning Superstar” I said as I placed a strand of her hair behind her ear, making her giggle softly.

“Morning Lauren” Taylor says startling both of us.

“Morning sweetie” replied and they both got up and headed to the kitchen. I turn to watch them leave and realize I was the one being watched.

“How long have you been standing there?” I ask Camila, my cheeks flushing.

“I heard about half of the song you were singing. You are an amazing singer Lolo! Why didn’t you tell me?” Camila replied big smile on her face. Ugh! That smile was going to kill me. I just wanted to reach out, take her into my arms and kiss her perfect lips. I would hace done it if I wasn’t worried I would scare her off again.

Camila walked over to me and took my hands forcing me to stand up with the shorter girl. she looked into my eyes with an expression I was starting to recgonize. She broke eye contact to look around us making sure we were alone and then she slowly leaned in and placed our perfect lips on mine. It wasn’t forceful or rushed. It was soft and light, it took my breath away.

When she pulled back she gave me a small smile and I rested my forehead against hers.

“Camzi?” I sked my eyes closed.

“Yeah Lolo?” she whispered.

“Why is Sofi so upset about you kissing another girl?” I asked afraid of what her reaction might be. She let out a sad sigh and shook her head no.

“I can’t tell you, I’m sorry” she said after a moment.

“Does it have to do with your parents?” I continued.

She backed away just enough to look into my eyes. Her eyes had filled with tears, however an apologetic lok was on her face.

“Lauren I just can’t okay? Please drop it. I really like spending thime with you, I like you a lot even but I just can’t talk about it” she explained tears running down her cheeks now. I took her into my arms to calm her down. When she stopped crying I kissed her cheek and smiled.
