Camila had been here for almost an hour and I was barely able to get a phrase out without stuttering. Ally and Mani thought it was the funniest thing. They would burst out laughing each time making my cheeks flame up. Camila would giggle but give me a look I couldn't understand. She had been giving me this look all night. Was it possible that she actually might like me like the girls suggested yesterday? Nah I never got that lucky. How could a goddess like Camila even think about me in that way? I wasn't smart or beautiful. My hair was a long wavy brown but it wasn't perfect like hers. I had unique green eyes that "people would die for" according to Mani but I thought they were alright. And of course I had the scars from before I had to be strong for my mom.

"Did you hear our class is going to Canada?" I heard Camila mention to the girls.

"No way!" they both yelled. "Why aren't we going?" Ally asked Mani seeming disappointed.

"I'm so excited, I asked Dinah's mom if she would watch Sofi for me and she told me to go and have an adventure. She is so nice" Camila said smiling sweetly, making my heart skip a beat.

"You are so lucky to live with her family! I always wanted to be one of theirs" Mani said laughing for some unknown reason.

"Oh that reminds me" I interrupted them. "Would one of you mind babysitting Taylor and watching over Chris? I would lend you my car and pay you. Please" I begged my friends. They both started laughing.

"Do you really think we would take your money?" Ally asked "We will take your car though. Of course I'll watch them" she continued

"Me too!" Mani said. I thanked them and turned to look at Camila. She had a huge smile on her face.

"Maybe we will be able to stay in the same room" Camila said when she noticed me watching her. Did she smirk at me? No I must be seeing things. I smiled and nodded, confused about what I might have seen. The girls started chatting about Canada and all the random facts they thought. They even asked if they rode moose and lived in igloos. I just laughed at that. I can't believe they asked that, and I thought they were the smart ones. I wasn't paying much attention anymore. I started listening to my sister and Sofia in the living room. Taylor was showing her some board game.

"Sofi? Why does your sister take care of you and not your parents? My sister does because our mom is really sad all the time." I heard my sister ask the younger girl. I turned to look at her wanting to know the answer as well.

Sofi's eyes grew wide. She seemed as if she was about to start crying.

"I'm not supposed to talk about that" she said barely audible and started to get up to walk towards Camila but Taylor stopped her.

"It's okay Sofi, you don't have to tell me" Taylor said with a cute little smile making Sofi take her seat again. I couldn't believe how understanding my sister was. She was only ten but she was a lot more mature for her age. I was a little disappointed that she hadn't given an answer though. I was really starting to wonder what their story was. Sofi always seemed so scared to talk about it and I was too afraid to ask Camila about it.

"Lauren what are you looking at?" Mani asked me taking me away from my thoughts.

"Sorry I was just listening to the girls conversation" I said with a small smile.

"AWWW they are so cute, what are they talking about?" Ally asked.

"Oh ... umm ... well... " was all I could get out. All three girls looked at me like I was nuts.

"What are they talking about Lauren?" Camila asked concerned. I looked down at my lap.

"Taylor asked about your parents... Sofi didn't answer and almost started crying, but Tay calmed her down" I said never looking up from my lap.
