That night I dreamt of Camila again. We were sitting in a snow filled field holding hands. Her head was rested on my shoulder and neither of us spoke. I took my hand and lifted her chin so that I could look into her beautiful brown eyes. They were filled with love and lust as I brought my lips to hers. We kissed softly for what felt like hours. She bit down on my bottom lip making me moan slightly and that’s all I could remember as I laid in bed with my alarm blaring.
I got up and made sure to get to school earlier today. I didn’t waste any time as I made my way to English. I wanted to be there before Camila. I grabbed my books and headed to class waving to my friends as I passed them and getting weird glances in return. I never went to class early. They were probably going to question me about it later but I didn’t care as long as it wasn’t at lunch.
I got to class and took my seat as the warning bell rang. Students came rushing in the door, talking loudly. I had my eyes fixed on the door waiting to see one specific brunette and when she finally walked in my heart stopped. She was so beautiful. Was she getting prettier each time I saw her? I don’t even know if that was possible. She waved to me she noticed I was staring. Wait, did she just wink at me? My heart was beating a mile a minute and I couldn’t seem to catch my breath. I still didn’t understand why she turned me into a nervous wreck every time I was near her but I was starting to like it.
She took her seat and smiled. I didn’t have time to speak before the teacher began her lecture that I would no doubt ignore in order to stare at Camila. Camila was so cute when she was focused on something. Her lower lip pouted out in a way that was killing me. I wanted to just lean over and suck on it, maybe bite it a little too.
“Okay class! I completely forgot to tell you this at the beginning of class but we are going on a field trip” Mrs. Rogers told us excitedly. “I don’t know how I forgot” she continued shaking her head. Every single student was watching her excitedly. It was really rare that a teacher took us somewhere. “We will be going to Canada on a ski trip and to see a production of Romeo and Juliette at the National Art Center in their capital Ottawa!” She finally told us. Everyone started talking excitedly as the teacher started handing out the information flyer.
“OMG! Can you believe it, I’ve never been to Canada before” Camila said a huge smile on her face.
“I know right! It’s going to be awesome” I said. As she handed me the flyer. It said we would be leaving in two weeks and be gone for three days. Shit can I afford to take so much time off? No I need to be on this trip, maybe I’ll get to stay in Camila’s room. The flyer said we would be leaving on a Monday around 4 am and get there around 1 pm. We would see the show that night, then spend the next day sightseeing and then come back home on the Wednesday. I needed to find someone to come watch my siblings and my mom while I was gone and take off work. Ugh this would be so much easier if my mom was, well, a mom.
“Will you be going?” Camila asked taking me with an expression I couldn’t read on her face.
“I have to find someone to watch my siblings but yeah I should be able to go, I’m sure Ally and Normani will do it for me. Oh those are my friends; you’ll meet them at lunch. If your umm still coming of course?” I asked nervously. I didn’t think about the fact that she might change her mind.
“Oh that’s cool, is it alright if I bring Dinah?” she asked shutting up my inner turmoil.
“Yeah that’s fine, we like Dinah” I answered her. I was a little disappointed I wouldn’t get to have her to myself but at least I get to have lunch with her. She smiled at me as the teacher tried to continue her lecture.
Class ended shortly after and I said goodbye to Camila as she headed to her next class. I was half way to math when the overhead speakers called me to the office. I had no idea what this was about. I hadn’t done anything wrong recently that I could remember. I walked to the office and went up to the front desk.
