The house was dark when I pulled into the drive way next to my mom's barely used SUV. The girls probably fell asleep waiting for me to come home. I walked inside careful not to make any noise, I really didn't want a repeat of what happened with my brother earlier. I looked around and the house was spotless. Bless those girls for cleaning up after my mom. I walked to my room stopping at my mother's door to check on her quickly.

I opened the door and surly she was laying on her bed in the fetal position passed out, an empty vodka bottle on the floor next to her bed. I was sadly getting used to seeing this. I'm afraid I might have to get her some help if things don't change soon.

I closed the door and headed to my room to find my two best friends passed out on my bed, the main menu of some movie on my TV screen. I pulled a blanket over them and changed into my PJ's and went to sleep on the living room couch. I got as comfortable as was possible on the old couch and looked at the clock on my phone. 12:30. I had to be up in a little over five hours to get Taylor and I ready to go to soccer in the morning. I set my alarm and tried to fall asleep.

***

I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know I am woken up by my alarm blaring American by Lana Del Ray. I groaned having not slept nearly enough but got up and headed for my little sisters room. She was so cute when she was sleeping. She always had your mouth wide open and a little drool running down the side. I laughed to myself and sat down on her bed. I rubbed her back lightly and started to sing a lullaby our mother sang to me when I was younger close to her ear. She squirmed a little but refused to wake up. I sang louder. She stirred again and finally opened her eyes.

"Hey Cutie, time to get ready for soccer" I whispered. She just smiled and started to close her eyes again. I sighed and gave her a playful shove which got her attention. "Let's go missy" I half scolding her. She groaned and walked off in the direction of the bathroom.

I went to my room next and pulled the blanket off my sleeping best friends. "Morning lovelies!!" I yelled laughing. They both woke up immediately startled. The look on both their faces was priceless. I grabbed some clothes and changed into them before going to the kitchen to get some breakfast going. I had decided on homemade waffles and was making the batter when Taylor followed by Normani walked into the kitchen.

"Did you want us to watch Chris when you're both at soccer practise?" Normani offered as she took her seat at the kitchen island.

"No he's probably just going to sleep and anyways he's old enough to take care of himself, but thanks Mani" I explained to her putting the batter into the waffle cooker. Mani just nodded and went to watch SpongeBob in the living room with my sister. Ally soon came in the kitchen to help me set up the table.

"So how was work last night?" she asked me as she placed four plates on the table. I sighed.

"Good until the boss left at ten, and then the usual happened" I groaned. Ally knew that Austin and his friends were constantly causing trouble at the diner when the boss wasn't around.

"What did he do this time?" she questioned me. I shook my head and said nothing. Ally walked over to me and gave me a hug asking the same question again.

"Just the normal sexual stuff and well ... this time he basically said he would umm... Fuck the gay away... I guess" I said holding back a small sob. Homophobic attitude always really got to me. My mother never really accepted the fact that I was gay, she usually just ignored it but my dad he was really supportive. Damn I miss him so much I thought to myself as Ally held onto me tighter. I stepped back and whipped the few tears that has escaped and smiled at her reassuringly. She continued to set the table as I finished up the last few waffles before calling the girls to breakfast.
