The truth pt 2

Jack stood up and walked over to the door. His hand hesitated when he reached for the door but he was able to push through and open the door.

Velvet: hello!

Jack looked on in surprise. There was a part of him that half expected them to not come. While coco was giving me a friendly smile, coco was slightly hiding behind her. She wouldn't look me in the eyes. She has every right to react this way but it still stung.

Jack: I'm glad you two could make it. Please come in.

Velvet: thank you. It's good to be back.

They both stepped inside with velvet looking much more comfortable than coco. Coco didn't look upset or scared just uncomfortable.

Cherry: velvet!

Cherry jumped onto velvet giving her a bear hug. Velvet was taken back but quickly returned a softer hug.

Velvet: I missed you too cherry.

Riley: it's good to see you velvet. It's been a few years hasn't it?

Cherry let velvet down but still clung to her side.

Velvet: it sure has. Sorry if we interrupted you.

Jack: not at all. In fact we just finished up for the day. Follow me. I have somewhere we can talk. Would it be ok with you two if we had some privacy upstairs?

Riley: of course man. We'll keep ourselves busy.

Jack: thanks. If you two would follow me?

Velvet: of course. It was great seeing you two again.

Cherry: your leaving already? Fine....when your done we should hangout!

Velvet: sounds good to me.

Coco nodded her head and followed velvet and jack to the elevator. The ride up was as awkward as it was downstairs but it was quick. Jack motioned for the girls to sit at the couch while he sat at the single chair across the way.

Jack: Now before we begin I'd like to say something. If you feel like you cannot trust me or are afraid of me after I've explained everything then I will leave you alone and never bother you again. I promise you that I would never hurt you and I would never willing put either of you in danger. I'm sorry I kept  this from you but it's dangerous for anyone to know what I'm about to tell you coco.

Coco looked at jack for the first time and nodded. She had realized that this wasn't something jack was comfortable talking about.

Jack: I guess I can start with answering any questions you have then I'll explain in full afterwards.

Coco:.....are you in danger?

Jack: what?

Coco: s-sorry that was a dumb question.

Jack: please coco. I want to help you understand so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Coco: alright. Are you in danger? Like is this killing you?

Jack: no not at all. It can be extremely painful at times but it can't kill me.

Coco: that's good. What exactly happened to you?
