Getting to know jack

Jack POV

Jack: so you're 15? I was about your age when I joined beacon.

Ruby:no way! Really?

Yang: yeah right. There's no way your the same age as me.

Jack: that's what everyone else said and yet here I am.

Ruby: how did you start out at such a young age? If you don't mind me asking.

Jack: let's just say oz saw something in me that he thought was a worth while investment.

Yang: that's pretty vague.

Jack: yeah well I hate talking about my past so back off.

Yang: woah!

Ruby: sorry i didn't mean to upset you!

I looked back at ruby for a moment and noticed she was genuine about being sorry. Not many people apologize to me and actually mean it. Yang on the other hand was a little angry I was being a dick.

Jack: it's fine red. You didn't know so I can't be mad.

Ruby: ok..

The walk was a little awkward after that. The two girls didn't know what to say so they remained silent. As we reached the door I sighed in frustration at the thought of the coming conversation.

Jack: I'm never doing Glynda a favor again. Alright! Let's get this over with.

Ruby nodded and opened the door. Instantly I noticed the poorly constructed bunk beds which looked more like hazards then beds at this point.

Jack: I thought my room was a mess.

Weiss: what's he doing here.

Jack: nice to see you too.

Weiss and I think Blake was the name of the other girl stood in front of us. Ruby then walked in between us noticing the tension in the air.

Ruby: hey! It's ok he's actually here to apologize for earlier.

Blake looked at me skeptically as she stood behind Weiss.

Blake: why the sudden change?

Jack: because if I don't apologize to you then oz gets all pissy at me and then I have to do a bunch of stupid stuff. Which really already happened but I'm here so it doesn't get worse on my end.

Weiss: so your only here because you have to be? Wow you are just terrible at this aren't you?

Oum if I wasn't here because of ozpin I'd beat the ever living- ok just calm down let's just get this over with.

Jack: yes and no. Yes ozpin told me to come here but I also came here because I stepped out of line earlier and did something's I'm not proud of.

Blake: that's for sure.

Jack: I'm sorry for what I said to you Blake. That was out of line and I hope I didn't offend you.

I reached my hand out in hopes she would shake it and thankfully she did. Although She did hesitate and stare at it for a moment. Makes sense I guess.

Jack: as for you schnee.

Weiss seemed to flinch at the way I said her name. Not gonna lie this was going to be the hardest thing I've ever done.

Weiss: yes?

Jack: as you've probably guessed I have a distinct hatred for your family.

Weiss: no kidding.
