A/N: OMG 200+ READS? You know thats kinda ironic since a lot of people have voted on it and I have 3 followers LOL-
Okay so, I've gotten a few requests to update, so here it is, the sort of awaited for Chapter 4!
This one is a special edition in TAM'S point of view, since our girl Sophie is currently trapped-
I'm so glad to be writing something sort of sad again after that Sokeefe oneshot in my oneshot book (Which you should check out!) because that one was happier and I taught myself to write sad things so that one was hard.

[MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING - SELF HARM]
Tam's POV
Sophie's arm was deeply scratched, nearly to the bone. Tam was used to blood, though.
When it would make itself at home in deep scratches along his arms that stung at him for not being good enough, and bled onto his bedsheets, he'd learned to get used to it.
He would hide it under black cloaks and Linh never saw them and never would know they had once existed.
But to see it on Sophie's slender arm in a blossoming flower of red liquid slowly moving out onto the jeweled floor underneath? That was a different story.
Like he'd said when he first met her, he didn't care about him. But if something happened to Sophie..
Tam gently reached down and wrapped his arms around Sophie, trying to find a position to lift her without his face getting too close to hers. He settled with wrapping his arms around her waist and turning her on her back in his arms, and lifting his head higher to look for the right way.
He was very familiar with the path to the Healing Center, as he'd been there numerous times before and had often taken Sophie there as well.
The hallways twisted and turned.
Corridor by hallway, step by step, they made it closer and closer.
There was little to no conversation, but there no need for any.
The objective was to save their friend before the infection could set into her arm.
Tam burst into the Healing Center, where Elwin was brewing some sort of elixir. The room reeked, but Tam couldn't care less about it.
"Elwin!" Tam yelled, rushing towards him. "Her arm got cut really badly. She tripped, and now her arm is cut almost to the bone. If you look at it at the right angle, you can actually see the bone."
Elwin scrambled for his trademark iridescent spectacles, motioning for Tam to bring Sophie to a cot while he fit them tightly onto his face.
He soaked a bandage he took from a shelf in Wound Wipe, which had the Dizznee's shop stamped on it, and wrapped it around Sophie's arm. He frowned.
"What is it?" Tam asked, when Elwin's frown only got worse.
"Her arm is cut nearly to the bone. You don't get that kind of cut from tripping, Tam. And If she cut the back of her arm, why are there bruises on her neck?" Elwin asked, tipping Sophie's sunny cascades of hair down her back, revealing several fresh bruises on the side of her neck.
Tam frowned. "But nobody was around. She couldn't have been attacked, could she?"
Elwin sighed. "I don't know, Tam, but-"
"IS SHE OKAY?" A voice came from the hallway, and a strawberry blond boy rushed into the room, his Foxfire cape nearly falling off o f his shoulders. Dex looked frazzled, which wasn't uncommon, but seeing him without Biana was uncommon.
Fitz followed Dex, and he was obviously straining to keep Biana from hurting herself by running in her heels. Biana also looked uncommonly frazzled, and Tam was confused to see Linh, Marella, and Keefe did as well.
"Right after Tam left with Sophie, we got attacked," Fitz explained, struggling to catch his breath, his teal eyes wild.
"By whom?" Tam asked, reaching and wrapping his arm around Linh's shoulder, as she was breathing hard and struggling to keep her consciousness.
"Neverseen," Marella breathed. She had a cut on her cheek, Fitz's wrist looked twisted the wrong way, and Dex's lips were split and he had a bloody nose, but other than that, there were no other injuries. And thankfully, no fatality.
"The little idiots sneaked up on us while we were looking for Sophie. After Bangs Boy found Sophie and brought her to Elwin, they jumped on us." Keefe added an impressive string of curses under his breath.
"Thankfully none of your injuries are fatal, but Fitz, your wrist is dislocated - nothing too serious. Just take an elixir and it'll be fine in about an hour. Until then, take it easy - all of you." Elwin made them each promise before they let them see Sophie.
Thankfully, her condition seemed to have improved. Her breathing was more steady than when Tam had last saw her, and her neck cast had thinned to only two layers of bandages instead of the five Tam had last seen her with. Her arm was in a sling, and the tears that had stained her face were now gone.
She seemed peaceful, but Tam wasn't sure. Although her breathing was steady, it wasn't as steady as it should've been, as Elwin had said he'd stopped infection and that she was fine, as the arm wasn't a fatal place for anything.
So she should be awake, right?
Why was she still passed out? Shouldn't she have woken up minutes ago?
Something wasn't adding up - and Tam could feel everyone's stares on him as he speculated.
He hadn't realized he'd shared his thoughts out loud.
Where was something weird that could've worsened her condition on the arm?
Was it an encounter from the past?
A battle?
"Oh." Tam said, his shoulders drooping, and tears coming to his eyes.
"I think the person who cut her must've been a Shade, and activated her echoes again."
A/N: I've seen a lot of fanfictions make Fitz a bad person, and while I do agree he is spoiled, I don't hate him entirely. I want to make my story a little unique, so instead of making Fitz and Keefe jealous of Tam, I'm going to make them have already stopped liking Sophie. If you want to attack me about it, that's up to you, but just warning you I frankly don't care if you leave hate. On a happier note though, leave ship requests for Fitz and Keefe- NO Sophitz or Sokeefe. Hope you enjoyed Chapter 4!
