EEEE- I have nothing to say, so-

Sophie's POV, because when she wakes up sOmEtHinG noT EpIc hAPpEns

She wanted to open her eyes, but she was scared reality would push her over.

Scared the hopelessness would come back.

Because in a dream state, everything was okay.

But the worst part about dreams is that you always wake up.

The push might finally be enough to drive her over the edge, so she lay still.

Wondering if she had the strength.

Her semi-conscious state would leave her soon, and reality would come sooner or later.

Which option would she take?

In her mind, she knew that she should wake up sooner. Get it over with. Be the fearsome moonlark swooping in the sky that everyone thought she was, and be the howling dire wolf leading the pack that the Council thought she was.

So she forced her brown eyes to open. Against her will, though.

Sometimes she was forced to fight herself.

Hers were met with an assortment of blue, the ones catching her attention the  most, a pair of silvery blue eyes - the eyes that were closest to hers.

Tam quickly jumped back when he saw her eyes flutter awake, his cheeks flushing red, as his face had been close to hers.

Sophie had been right, before she'd chosen to woke up.

Reality was too much.

Hopeless thoughts swarmed her head, and she began to feel her muscles convulse in a seizure, but she couldn't control herself anymore. She didn't even have enough power to control herself. How could she lead the Black Swan's future Collective into battle against the most dangerous group of villains in all of Elvin History?

She heard footsteps, but she couldn't bring herself to care about who was making them. At this point, she almost wanted it to be the Neverseen. Just end it all.

Everyone joked about her nearly dying anyway.

Why did they have to save her?

She felt Elwin steady her, restraining her to a cot, and when her muscles couldn't move, she started to hyperventilate. She needed to use up so much energy she'd lose consciousness again.

She wasn't strong enough for reality.

The shadows seeping through her arm, the familiar feeling of hopeless echoes, and the curses at her repeating in her head over and over and over - she just couldn't do it anymore.

Nothing could get rid of the monster anymore. It was her. She was the monster. Causing all her friends the pain.

She felt Elwin slip a sedative down her throat, and this time she wanted it.

She fell gratefully back into cold, safe black.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(This part is a little more of a filler. It describes where the Black Swan moved her and there are some more laid-back activities, but basically the Black Swan moved her to their most remote hideout. Elwin was invited, and all of the parents were too, but not all of them went.)
She woke up, this time she wanted to though. She'd gathered her strength, and the light in her mind outweighed the shadows. She'd caged them and sent them far away, although the process had taken her several days.
Sophie woke up, her eyes fluttering. Nobody was around, which was good. And she was in someplace new.
Around her was flowy white fabric, imbedded with sapphire jewels, with open windows and a translucent roof. There were partitions around her, and she saw that there were several other small, but still very plushy, beds around her. None of them were occupied at the moment, but it didn't take her long to figure out all her friends had been staying there.
Some of the beds were on elevated platforms, and Sophie's happened to be one of those. In fact, her bed was on the highest platform, and the stairs were covered in rubies and emeralds, and her name was inscribed with onyx.
All the other beds were open, with only a flimsy white partition dividing them from the rest of the identical beds, but hers had glass walls with glass doors, and right next to her was a nightstand imbedded with amethysts with a silver key. She assumed that was what she'd use to unlock it, and the key was on a necklace in a black box. The box was open.
Sophie got up, giving her legs a moment to adjust after a week of being still in a comfortable plush bed. She took the key necklace from her bed and put it around her neck, only stopping once she heard the "click" of the clasp closing around her neck.
Sophie wasn't used to so much movement, and she was glad that she was dressed already in a flowy white black tunic and white leggings. Her hair was in a loose ponytail. There were boots by the glass door, and she put her feet in them, sliding them in all the way.
She turned the key in the lock, giving herself deep breaths before running  a normal medical recovery procedure. She ran through her memories, making sure they were all intact.
Luckily, they were.
(I know I'm going to say good things about Fitz  and I know some of you reading are probably Fitz haters. If you are, that's your opinion. I don't truly believe he's completely bad, and he's definitely not as bad as some of the stories make him seem.)
Fitz, the boy who'd shown her she wasn't a broken puzzle piece that didn't fit.
Dex, who'd accepted her and shown her the life that she hadn't known what to do with.
Biana, who was misunderstood and helped Sophie realize that she wasn't the only one.
Keefe, who'd appreciated her even when nobody else had the time to.
Tam, who had shown her that shadows weren't always dark.
Linh, the girl who made Sophie realize that power wasn't something to be afraid of.
And Marella, who had shown Sophie that attitude was something that could be inspired from.
Everyone was with her, and still in her memory. Nothing had gone wrong.
(that's everyone right? Fitz, Dex, Biana, Keefe, Tam, Linh and Marella? Not Wylie as he's not that important in the series and they aren't really friends but-)
Sophie unlocked the door, but she hadn't anticipated that it would make a bell ringing sound. She hadn't noticed the ridiculously gorgeous silver bells above her head. The door was connected by slim, durable chains, and when she opened it, the bells rang.
It didn't take much time after that for the flowy door to open and one after another, all of her friends rushing into the tent.
Ah... great-
