The summer was better than the others I've had. My mom and dad took me to an acting school for young witches and wizards. I've always liked to put on little shows for my family when I was little and I've gotten better at singing and sight reading. The camp was for 6 weeks, longer than any other camps I've been at. Mom said it's going to be a fresh start, to find kids my age with the same interests as me. I think it's just so they can have the house to themselves.
The first week I made a couple friends along with getting out characters. I was going to play the lead. I don't know how I got it. I really didn't try that hard. I think they were just more interested in my looks than my talent. Which when you think about it, is kind of rude.
On week two I made a couple new friends who like to read and listen to my stories along with telling stories of their own. They helped me prepare for lines and helped me on who is who.
On the 3rd week we started practicing lines. Almost all the girls were upset that they weren't going to get to kiss the main love interest, but they don't even know his name, (it's Robin btw). But even then, don't even like him, all we talk about is lines and our favorite actors in history. In fact I don't even think he likes me.
He's told me several times how pretty Emma is, one of the new friends I've met. And if you were to ask me, I think they would work really well together. One night I asked him to join us for dinner and made him sit next to Emma. When he sat down she blushed. I laughed thinking about how similar this was to when Cedric tried to put me and Oliver together. That's when I stopped laughing. Oliver. I wonder what he's doing now...
"Julia!" I snap out of my trance.
"Huh?" I asked, confused.
"We asked what school you go to," Helena asks.
I laugh and say "Hogwarts''
They look around "What?" I ask
"It's just" Helena started "We all go to Ebbinyes, it's the more artistic school"
I look down "Well at hogwarts you get a better education." They all whisper to themselves. I see Robin shrug his shoulders.
I scoff "well if you are to know." They look up "I have my eyes on someone" I said.
They all straightened up and smiled. I smiled thinking of him. "I'll tell you all about him but you need to come to my cabin at 10. Got it?" They all agreed.
When they came into the cabin we turned on our flashlights and I told the 3 of them about the drama between Oliver and Draco. Once I was done, they asked me questions like "Malfoy? As in one of the richest wizards?" Helena asked "If I were you I would go get Oliver" Robin said "Robin come on! She needs to get George" Emma said
"Woah Woah Woah!" I said before any of them said another word "What did you say?" I said, holding back laughter
"Go for George? I mean isn't his last name WEASLEY... W!" Emma asked with confusion When she said that I laughed
"Oh no. George is a BROTHER to me." Once I answer all their questions they head back to their cabins.
On the 4th week we were practicing the dances and singing.
On the 5th week we started building the sets and preparing the costumes and running over lines with costumes and the sets.
On the 6th and final week everyone had the same feeling. Nervousness. We went over the whole show as if it were the real show. After we ran it I kept getting dirty looks from some of the girls. Robin pulled me away from their stares. "Nervous?" I looked back at them. They were laughing.
