Mina said I had been unconscious for 3 days. I assumed because of the blood I lost.

Time had no meaning while I was gone. I believed I was dead. I thought it was all over for me. I wished my pitiful life goodbye.

Only to say hello to it again and be wrapped up in Midoriya's warm body again.

"You shouldn't be out of bed so soon. You feel so weak." He whispered.

"You're one to talk." I said in between sobs. I felt his lips curl up in a smile. "I guess you're right."

"Let's give them a minute, yeah?" Sero's voice broke the weird silence from their side of the room. One by one, they exited to room, wishing Midoriya and me a quick and easy recovery.

Uraraka was last to leave, and she gave us both a certain glare I hadn't quite seen on her before. She looked down at the ground as she left.

Midoriya let me go and cupped my face to make me look at him. "You're crying so much." He mumbled, wiping away the tears as they fell from my eyes like a waterfall.

"What happened to you." I whined out. His weak smile fell, "Don't worry about it. I'm okay now."

"But it's my fault!" I spat out. No matter how much I wanted the tears to stop, they just wouldn't stop. All these emotions came rocketing out. The fear from death, my happiness at seeing Midoriya's face, and the guilt that riddled my body.

"No, it's not." He whispered, wrapping his arms around me again. I gripped to the back of his shirt. "I'm used to being a target." He sighed.

The words stabbed my heart. He was bullied the majority of his middle school days. He's beaten black and blue by villains. His bones break if he overuses his quirk. He never gets a break. He never gets a second to breathe and live like a happy kid.

Ever since I stepped a foot into his life, I just made it worse.

I let go of him, and my arms fell dead beside me. "I'll take you to bed. You're getting colder by the second." He said, picking me up bridal style and laying me gently down on the bed.

"Midoriya, I think I'm going to go back." I mumbled. He flinched and shot his eyes at me. "I'm causing too much trouble here. I'll just go back to the League and stop them from coming back to UA. All of you guys should savor your high school years." I said honestly. "Seeing you hurt so badly because of me sucks. I never want to see you like this. Maybe I can reason with Shigaraki."

"You deserve to live your best high school life. Once I go back to where I belong, you'll be much safer. I don't want you to be a target anymore." I gave him and a weak smile. He tore his eyes away from me and clenched his fist.

"What about me." He said, gritting his teeth. "What if I need you!" He shouted. I saw tears fall onto his lap. He shot his eyes to mine. "What if where you belong is with me!" His eyes were filled with tears, and he brought his hand up to his shirt, clenching it.

"Midoriya." I breathed out. His composure was completely shattered.

"I only just got back to you. I escaped the League only last night. Once I left, everyone told me you were fighting with Toga, and you had passed out right before she was about to..." His voice trailed off, and veins in his scarred hand popped out from clenching his shirt so tightly.

"I was so scared. I ran here and saw you barely breathing. Your hands were bandaged up. You looked completely beaten up. I promised I would never let go of your hand ever again. The second I did, you almost died."

His eyes and hands started to shake. I could feel the anger, frustration, and passion oozing out of him. The masks he puts on for the class of 1-A was completely taken off and he was showing the true pain he was in. Not all of his pain was physical. It seems like a lot of it carries a huge burden on his head.

"Let me be selfish this one time." He mumbled, reaching out to place a hand on my cheek. He wiped away tears that I hadn't ever felt. He moved closer to me, his gaze changed, and I felt his hand get hotter.

The window showing the outside showed a broad scene. The trees were swaying so peacefully. Some birds decided to rest on the edge and watch as the scene unfolded.

His warm hand caressed my cheek. He was shaky. "You're so cold." He whispered, moving his other hand to my other cheek.

He continued to lean forward, and the heat rising from both of our bodies was colliding and creating a certain atmosphere that I was getting intoxicated from.

"I need to do this before anything else happens." His delicate voice swam through my eardrums.  My body felt was being overly sensitive. I felt every little movement he made. The little bits of added pressure on the bed to the way his hands were shaking, holding my face.

I darted my own eyes between his trembling ones. Just inches away, I felt his breath on my lips. It was steady and so much more calm than the breathing I heard when I was buried in his chest.

He closed his eyes and leaned forwards, closing the little gap that barely separated our lips.

I didn't know what I was doing, but everything about it made me ache for more.

He moved his hands to my waist and deepened the kiss. The sensations that ran through my body were making me explode. His lips were so much softer than I ever expected. They felt molded to fit with my own.

I felt my lungs start to betray me, and I begin to lose breath. This feeling of being so close to him was amazing. It was something I didn't know I needed until this moment. The way his hands rested so delicately on me and the way his lips moved on my own made me feel like we were in the cloud.

This was our moment and our moment alone.

We pulled away with a blush covering the corners of his eyes.

"I didn't want to wait anymore. I'm sorry if I was bad." He mumbled. I felt a smile creep on my lips. "It's okay. I really liked it" I whispered, feeling my face get hotter from such an embarrassing phrase coming out of my mouth.

With his hands still on my waist, he pulled back in for a hug. "Please don't leave Y/N. We'll fix this together. Me and you." His head was buried in my neck, and I felt his grip tighten around me.

"I'm sorry. I just don't want to see you in any more pain." I felt his lips curve into a smile. "I know; I'll take better care of myself."

Three even knocks came from the door.

"Come in." Midoriya said, letting me go and sitting properly on the bed.

"Oh, hi Aizawa." Midoriya cheered up as he watched Aizawa's hunched body enter the room. Our smiles fell when two police officers followed behind him.

"I'm glad you're awake, Y/N. I'm sorry this has to be so quick, but they need to speak with you." Aizawa averted his gaze from ours.

"What is this." Midoriya's entire stance and tone changed completely.

"We just have a few questions for Y/N. Nothing will happen right away, but we cannot promise anything beyond this point."

"Aizawa!" Midoriya shouted. I saw Aizawa's soft glare at him. Everyone has a soft spot of Midoriya, even if they don't admit it. He has a way of getting into anyone's heart. Seeing him look so frustrated must have hurt him.

"It's okay, Midoriya, really." I gave him a weak smile, returning my gaze to the two officers. "You can ask whatever you want. I won't lie to you."

Although I meant those words, I couldn't help but feel like I'm setting myself up for failure.
