TW: mentions of blood and knives!!
I watched as the decomposing body of Midoriya melted off of her silk body. That evil grin was stained on her face and brought nothing but horror into my thoughts.
Without warning, she threw one of the knives at me. It barely missed my head and stuck to the wall.
"Traitor." She mumbled, lunging at me. We crashed to the ground and fought for the upper hand. She was always stronger than she looked. That's how she got her victims. They always underestimated her. That's what made her happy.
We rolled around on the ground as I stopped her arms from plunging a knife into my face. "C'mon, Y/N! Let's end this quick, yeah? You liar! You traitor!" She shouted, putting more force into her arms. The knife just inches away from my forehead.
"Toga! Stop! You don't have to do this!" I pleaded, hoping I could talk some sense into her.
I always pitied Toga. From such a young age, she was cast away. Always told that she was a monster. She never experienced what kids our age should experience. We always bonded over that fact. Except now that I got a taste of what my life could have been. I never want to lose it.
Now that I see her fighting with me like this, I think it's far too late for her.
But that's always what I thought for myself.
"Don't have to? You turned into another one of hero types! All hero's do is lie! They are nothing but fakes!" She shouted, losing some of her force. I took the opportunity to steal the knife away from her. I kicked her away and stood up, holding the knife out in front of me.
"I don't want to be a hero! I don't want to be a villain either!" I said, releasing a huge breath.
"Then help us fix the Earth of these fake hero's!" She pulled out another knife and charged at me. I moved to the opposite side of her, and she cut a bit of my cheek. She wiped off the small amount of blood on the knife with her sleeve.
"Toga, can't you see! I don't want any of this! I'm getting tired of this!" I whined out. She slowed down her movement and stared at me wide-eyed.
"I can't keep looking at those innocent people's eyes and thinking they hate me. Not everyone is out to get me! Not everyone is out to get you either!" I dropped my arm beside me, inching my way towards her.
"Toga, we were just unlucky. We chose wrong because we were told we were wrong. Aren't you tired of forcing everyone to think as we do!" I dropped the knife on the floor to show I wasn't trying to hurt her.
A gesture I would soon regret.
"We deserved better. It's a shame we didn't get it. Now we have to force ourselves to get better." Her body twitched. I saw the knife ever so slowly begin to slip out her hands.
I reached out to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Toga, please."
"I understand why Midoriya likes you now." She whispered. "I understand why his last words to me were him whispering your name."
She shoved me over, and all of her hidden strength was regained.
"You and Midoriya would have been so cute together! You already sound like him." She licked her lips. "Too bad, though. I had to pay a visit to his room before this."
Time stopped, as did the world.
"What are you talking about." I said, breathing in for dear life.
"Don't be so stupid. There's only one way for me to transform!" Without a second thought, she pierced through the skin on my hand. I screamed out and let go of the breath I had been holding. I tried to reach for the knife to pull it out. She was quick to react and stabbed my other hand the same.
