I headed to the office and opened the door."So what are we doing with him? I have my assistant on speed dial." Camila said as she tied her hair up and I saw the earpiece connected to her ear.
"I appreciate everything you have done to send him to jail," I began and Serena dragged me out of the room abruptly and shut the door.
I gave her a confused look as she held onto the doorknob with one hand.
"What do you think you're doing?" She hissed as she leaned against the door and I sighed.
"Serena. Look at him," I said as I moved out of the way and she stared at Mason, who was knocked out and laying completely on the floor.
"But he hurt you-" She tried to reason but I cut her off. "But he's your friend! And he was once my friend. S, I can't send him to jail," I sighed and I pushed my hair out of my face as I held in my tears.
I hate how emotional I get when I'm frustrated.
Serena stumbled backwards as the door swung open and River walked out of the room. "I-I can't," I choked out as he nodded his head. "I know baby, I know." He said as he pulled me in for a hug.
I stomached his comment earlier and let him comfort me as I pulled myself together.
"He's coming with me," I muttered as I moved out of River's arms and walked towards Mason.
"Nyah! He's dangerous!" Kane shouted and I felt him grab me roughly.
I spun around attempted to kick him, to which he blocked. I threw a few punches and he was able to defend himself until I whipped out my baton and held it to his neck.
"Don't forget who trained you," He said in a calm but threatening tone.
"Don't forget I was kicking ass before I got here. You taught me nothing,"
He knew not to argue with me as he narrowed his eyes and I gave him a threatening look, as if to say 'try me, bitch'.
"He's coming with me," I said slowly so he understood and he backed off as I refastened my baton and walked towards him.
"Don't you need the pliers to unlock those chains?" Camila asked and I lifted it up in my hands and pulled them apart and they snapped.
I took a deep breath and rubbed my hands together as I leaned forward and slapped him to make sure he wasn't waking up anytime soon.
"Can someone carry him?" I called out and Kane sighed as he lifted Mason up.
"What the hell does he eat?" He grunted as he carried him out towards my car and I unlocked it for him.
The sun was up completely and Kane quickly threw him into the backseat. I grabbed my phone that was sitting in the front compartment and unlocked it.
I received a message from my boss alerting me that I have an appointment with a client and I sighed as I locked my phone.
I shut the backseat door and headed into the front. "Where are you taking him?" River asked as he appeared at the window next to me.
I turned my head momentarily to look at Mason in the backseat.
"I'll take care of him," I answered as I started the car and drove off.
Ever since the last time I ran away from our house, I strongly considered buying my own place without River finding out.
I can't keep running to my dad's if, and when we do, have arguments.
It's on the other side of town, the more peaceful side, and it's almost furnished, because it's kinda hard to get money without River finding out what I'm using it for, so I'm using the money I make from my job to furnish the place.
