I shut my laptop and dropped my head in my hands as I groaned.

I don't think I can take any more of this.

"You sound like hell." Jordan eyed me momentarily as she continued typing away on her laptop.

The strong coffee smell is the only thing on my mind.

With finals coming up in a few months, I can't seem to sleep or think straight, and worse, I don't know how I'm gonna finish these essays.

"Hey, you know you can relax right?" Cameron pointed out as he sat next to his twin sister.

Jordan and Cameron have to be the most infuriating people I've ever met. And the worse part is, they're related.

Jordan is the person you go to when you want to know anything about anyone. It's good for blackmail, but bad when it comes to keeping a secret. Cameron is the athletic one of the group, but he's crazy competitive.

"I'll relax after we graduate." I replied as the bell sounded, signalling someone has entered the shop.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Mason walked over to us, his arm draped over Serena's shoulder.

"Nyah's stressing again." Cameron muttered as he chewed on an energy bar.

"Your presence isn't helping anyway." I glared at him and he shrugged.

Mason is your typical lovesick songwriter. He's always in his feelings and it's fucking annoying.

"You just need a break, get a coffee or something." Serena suggested and I shook the half full cup of coffee in my hand. She shrugged before sitting down next to Cameron.

Serena is part of the richer community at our university, along with Camila and Vanessa. But she's not stuck up, in fact, she's one of the most positive and energetic people I've ever met.

You know those people that radiate so much energy, you get tired just by looking at them, that's Serena.

"Why don't we go to a party tonight? I'm sure someone's got something going on." She glanced around the coffee shop.

The place seems to be packed with university students, all studying and revising.

No one looks like they're throwing a party.

"No one's throwing parties because finals are next month." Jordan said before finally looking up from her screen.

Camila and Vanessa entered the shop and sat down at the table. "Can you guys at least look like you're not all gonna kill yourselves?" Vanessa asked as she tapped away on her phone and no one chose to respond.

"Don't worry about her, the cleaners didn't shine her floors today." Camila chimed in with a smile.

Vanessa isn't exactly the easiest person to get along with, but sometimes she can be okay.

Sometimes.

Vanessa is your typical rich, brunette, stuck-up bitch. I don't get why we all put up with her because sometimes I do want to slap the hell out of her, but I need a good reason to do that.

"Ny, you seriously need to go home and change. Better yet, take a shower whilst you're there." Vanessa grimaced as she eyed me and I rolled my eyes.

I take it back, I would do anything to fuck her up.

"So how's studying going?" Camila attempted to change the subject but we all respond with groans, except for Jordan, who replied with a "great!"

Camila never exactly has anything going on, but when she does, it's a big deal. She is so secretive but I envy her. I like the idea of having a private life. Her parents are into business so they travel all the time and she's usually home alone in her mansion.
