Chapter 16: Forgive and Forget

I am so dearly sorry for not posting in a while. I had to do this big project which took up my free time so I couldn't write. Once again I am dearly sorry.

Eren's POV:

" P-Petra Ral..." I whispered as I stared up at Levi, his eyes looked me up and down desperately for an answer.

" Petra... How do you know Petra?" I whispered as I looked up towards him. " She's not here?" His eyes started to grow wider. He gripped the flower in his hand tighter.

"Who in the world are you? Did she send you instead to visit me?" I started to fidget with my hands thinking of possible ways to answer his question. I can't believe he forgot me. It has to be temporary right the memory loss and the confusion. Did he forget the others too?

Hundreds of thousands of questions rang through my head until I heard a knock on the door. " Eren." A familiar voice rang.

" Isabel..." I whispered.

" Who are you talking to?" Levi then asked me. " Also you didn't answer my gosh damn question. Who the hell are you and where is Petra Ral." Levi then pulled his blankets away from himself. " I want an answer now." He said hastily, pulling himself from the pillow and placing the flower on the hospital nightstand next to him. Once he got up I noticed he winced and sat back down.

" What the hell happened to my stomach?" He said, clenching his teeth. He wrapped his arms around his stomach and started to wince again.

" L-Levi y-you should probably slow down... You're injured... Please just stay in bed."

" Like hell, I'll stay in bed! I don't even know you!" Levi yelled at me in a hoarse tone. " Eren why won't you respond?" I heard Isabel's voice shout through the door.

" Who is that? Whose voice was that?"

" Levi, please calm down-"

" Where's Kenny too? Where the hell is my uncle!"

" I-"

" Where's everyone I know? Why am I injured in a hospital? Who are you and what the hell happened to me?" His voice cracked at his last sentence. His eyes were painted with fear as he stared at me.

" I'm" I gulped. " I'm Eren Jaeger... Your friend"

" If you're my friend then how come I don't know you?" The second he said those words I felt like I was ripped to shreds. I shrank in my chair and whispered " Your case was hypothermia." while looking away from his piercing stare. " The doctor said he thinks you for some reason went outside during the storm yesterday night... He said your symptoms would be memory loss, confusion and drowsiness"

" You also got some bruises too but, the doctor thinks that could have been from the hail storm or some other thing that could have happened."

" Bruises?" Levi whispered while holding his stomach as if he knew there were bruises there. " Yeah... I don't think you got them from the hail storm though. I have a feeling you might know exactly where you got them."

" I- I don't know where I could have got them from... I don't know" He whispered " I can't remember." he finally said.

I looked at him, my eyes filling with empathy. He doesn't remember a single thing and there is nothing I can do about it. Levi slowly laid himself back in bed and laid his arm over his eyes. It was quite an odd position to be in but, I won't judge him for it.

The raven took in a deep breath. I'm guessing he was trying to calm himself down. " Eren how close were we?" He asked me. My eyes shot up at his question. " How close were we?" I said hesitantly.
