Chapter 23: Emotional

Levi's POV:

" Eren?"

" What are you doing here?" I asked, turning around to look at the brunette whose eyes were dilated as they were flickering up and down the white piano beside me. " Shouldn't I be asking you a similar question?" He replied. I hummed in response. "touché... Why don't you go first?" I said.

" Well," The brunette began as he held his phone tighter in his hand. " I wanted to ask you a question about something... So I got out from my seat at lunch and looked for your table... And, then I saw you leaving the cafeteria and followed you here."

He had a question for me? " What type of question was it?" I asked him out of curiosity. " Wouldn't you have to tell me why you're here first before I tell you the question..." He smirked at me. " Hm, fair I guess... Well, I left the cafeteria because I was going to eat my lunch here... Also, Hanji and Isabel were acting like annoying shits." I said whispering the last part to myself.

" Well, are you going to tell me that so-called question?" I said. But, he didn't respond. His eyes were still downcasted on the snow-white piano. I began to become concerned for the brunette. " Eren?" I whispered, snapping my fingers. But, the brunette was still in a daze.

" Jaeger, you there?" I said using his last name this time. I snapped my fingers one last time and finally, the brunette's eyes drifted to mine. " You good?" I asked him as he began fluttering his eyelashes repetitively. " yeah, sorry I was in a daze..." he said.

" Yeah, Anyway about that question... you know you could have told me about it at the end of lunch right? Why are you so eager to talk about it now?"

" Yeah, I'm eager because... Well, remember what you said in the bathroom? you remembered texting someone and the feeling of being anxious and disappointed or whatever and you said you thought it had something to do with me."

" Yeah... Go on."

" Turns out you were partially right."

" Huh? Partially. So you did send those-"

" I didn't someone else did"

" what?"

"Yeah, it's a bit confusing but..." Eren began as he quickly pulled his phone up to his face. " Do you recognize these messages at all?" He says as he walked over to me and passed me his phone. I looked down at his phone and saw the messages he was talking about.

Levi: Hey Eren You still there?

Levi: Well I have something to ask you.

Levi: This may seem out of the lines but... can we actually meet today?

Levi: I know it's 3:20 and school ended like 45 minutes ago but please

Levi: But, I really need someone to talk to... I mean just for comfort.

As I was waiting for him to reply I finally heard a ding from my phone.

Eren: What do you want to talk about and why in person? We can always just text like we are now.

Oh. I wasn't expecting that type of response?

Levi: Well it's kind of... I just need reassurance on something.

Levi: I would talk to my other friends but they're busy. So I wanted to talk to you a bit instead. To keep me distracted.

Eren: Uhm well, I don't want to really meet in person right now. I'm actually with my friends right now and I can't meet in person now.
