Chapter 5: Picture Material

Eren's POV: 

I decided to head over to the park earlier than 5:30 because why not. It's better to be early than to be late. Plus, my father said I can only stay here for 1 hour and 30 minutes and rush back home. So my time here is very limited. 

All of the materials were already stuffed neatly in my bag and I brought with me an extra spare hoodie because it's freezing outside which is not surprising because it was mid of October. The season of Halloween.

I got onto my bike and rode all the way down to Maria Street. Once when I got to the park entrance I tied my bike near a bike rack and entered the park without any trouble. I was walking along a trail until I stumbled upon a miniature playground. 

There I saw Levi. he was sitting on a swing. Swinging himself back and forth. he wasn't going too fast nor was he going too slow. He had a different attire from school earlier he wore a green and black short sleeve flannel shirt and white jeans on with boots too.

I guess he decided to come early too.

  I came closer to see he also had a small black scarf wrapped around his neck and black fingerless gloves gripping the ropes of the swing. " Levi," I said softly. his legs slowly stopped pumping causing the swing to slowly come to a stop. 

" Your early..."

"Well, you're early too." I shrugged.

Levi only replied with a hum as he went back to pumping himself back and forth on the swing set. 

" Hey, Levi..." 

" yeah?"

" I wanna say sorry again..."

" I forgive you. I don't know how many times I will have to tell you."

" but,-"

" Eren. I. Forgive. You... Just please stop apologizing. I was already embarrassed enough when I fell into you in front of everyone in the hallway. And, now that we're Art partners it's almost as if the universe is telling me I have to forgive you because I don't want to start any complications between us."

I didn't know how to respond. " okay, sorry for-"

"See, you already fucked up at what I specifically asked you not to do. Please make an attempt to restrain yourself from saying the word sorry."

" Okay, okay geez, I'm-... Anyway... Why did you pick this as a meeting spot? And, why today right after school?"

"I chose today because I'm free today. This week I'm going to be busy after school and today is my only free day. I also chose this place because as you can see it's absolutely beautiful. Just look around. Plus, we're surrounded by nature instead of the usual urban area that is outside of this park." I looked around and Levi was right. it is beautiful. The trees were painted with hues of yellow, orange, and red resulting in the change of seasons. the sky was filled with warm colors. birds singing and chirping.

It truly was a beautiful place.

" I've been to Maria Street multiple, times but, I've never seen this park before. How did you find it?" I asked.

" You must have never heard of it because it's not that popular. Barley anyone comes here. It's almost like it's an abandoned park... Anyway, one day, I decided to sneak out of home and I just stumbled upon this park... So now once in a while, I come here just to clear my head." I hummed in response and kept on looking around the place.
