I was scared. No, I was terrified. My body was stiff and tense. I couldn't move. It's like, that thing is some how keeping me here.

I closed my eyes, a dagger in each hand.

I have to be brave. I have to kill- er - banish this damned thing. No longer, will it torment souls. I opened my eyes and stood up. The figure was closer. Due to my falling off the bench and scooting away, I got a good six feet between the figure and I.

It was now about four feet from me. I swallowed my spit and took a deep breath.

"This is it. Here is my final moment of having to face this creature."

"I am no mere creature," it spoke. A large split appeared where it's mouth was 'supposed' to be. Sharp, dagger like teeth lined the figures mouth.

"H-How are you able to speak?" I asked shocked, "You have no mouth!"  My eyes were wide with fear and shock.

"Correction, I 'had' no mouth." Shivers shot down my spine. Now, I was really scared. No being brave about it.

"What do you want?!" I screamed at the thing.

"What else would I want. I want your soul. You have nowhere to run child, you might as well give up now." It's mouth curled into a smirk.

"N-no... I can't. I have to save my friends," I spoke quietly and stood up. Then I yelled, "And nothing will stop me!"

"You are a very courageous girl. Your soul should be tasty." It licked it's lips greedily. I shuddered.

"Just leave people alone. You're only a myth, a legend, a scary story to make children behave. You're not real!"

"Oh?" It's hand shot forward and cut my cheek slightly, then retracted it. "But I am real child. There is no doubt about it."
