After class, I walked up to my locker. Then, my friend Alice came up from behind me and handed me a note. I looked at her and then looked back at the note. I opened the envelope, it said, "You've been invited to Alice's pool party this Saturday at 15:00 (3:00 p.m.). RSVP 886-275-2346."

(Author's Note, The number is completely fake. IDK who's it is. All I did was put a few numbers together. That's all.)

"So, can you came?" she begged.

"I...I don't know. I have to ask my aunt and uncle," I answered.

"Oh... Okay... Hey, I've been wondering this ever since I met you."

"What?"

"Is your British accent your actual accent?"

I gave a shocked look but answered, "Yeah but, the funny thing is, I'm barely British. I'm mostly Russian and Japanese."

"Oh, Okay," she answered cheerfully. She walked away with her books and pencils in her arms. I sighed and closed my locker. The next thing I know, Katie slammed her hand against my locker. She gave me a fake smile and looked at me with anger in her freakishly large, purple contact eyes.

"You better stay away from Dean or else!" She hissed.

"Well, I'm sorry if he is the one that hangs out with me. He's the one that runs up to me and walked to and from school with me," I said and then stuck out my tongue at her. She gave me one of the nastiest expressions on her face. I quickly took a picture and sent it to the school website. She didn't notice until she got an email. She had a priceless look on her face.

"Damn it Carter! I'm going to kill you!" She screamed stommping out of the school.

"At least it's the end of the school day," I sighed.

"Bleh! Rawr!" He screamed in my ear making me jump.

"Damn it Dean! Why'd you do that?!" I yelled at him. He gave me sad, childish, puppy dog eyes expression. I sighed and pet him on the head like a dog and laughed. He barked like a dog and I kept on laughing. As I was petting him, his friends walked over and pushed me out of the way.

"Go home you slut," one of them said to me. Then Dean looked up and punched him. "That girl you just called a slut, she has been my friend since preschool. Leave her alone."

"Why should we?"

"Because, if you don't I will let her do what she wants. You know why we moved here last year?"

"Why?"

"Because she got expelled for kicking the living hell out of a group of 5 guys and 6 girls alone." He looked at me. "Carter, Why don't you go home, I'll meet you on the way there." I nodded and picked up my stuff. As I walked by the boys, I looked back at them and they flinched. I giggled a bit and went home. Half way there, some one grabbed my shoulder and and pulled me back. I turned around to see Alice crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked with worry in my voice.

"My, my parents are in the hospital!" She screamed in my ear.

"Why?" I said as I grabbed her and hugged her to calm her down. All I could hear was gibberish and crying. "Hey, why don't you come to my house. My aunt and uncle shouldn't be home for at least eight more hours. Come on." I grabbed her arm and we walked to my aunts house. Once we got there, I told her to wait in my room while I make some iced raspberry tea. Once I got back to my room with the tea, I saw Alice looking through some old duet music that we used to play and write ourselves. I sat down next to her and gave her, her cup. As we looked through the music, we giggled a bit but, as soon as we got to a song called Call of the Angels we started to tear up. "Remember what the song was about?" I asked as tears started coming down my sore red cheeks. She sniffled and then answered.

"Yeah. It was about a young girl who lost their parents due to her decisions. A.K.A. It was a song about our cousin, Kelsy," she said and started to cry again. "Why can't we escape this burning hell?"

"I don't know. No matter what we do, we will always come back," I said as I closed my folder of music.
