She told me that her parents were almost killed because some jack ass broke into her house and shot them. Right in the middle of our conversation, she got a phone call. She answered it. "Hello? Yes this is Alice," she said as she put the phone on speaker.

"Hi, my name is Doctor Green. I just wanted to let you know that your father is in critical condition and your, your mother has passed away. I'm so sorry," she said. Alice dropped the phone,it fell onto my lap, and she started screaming her head off and crying. I could barely hear what the doctor was saying. I grabbed the phone and took it off of speaker phone and put it up to my ear. "Hello? Hello?!" She said frustrated.

"Um sorry about that. I'm Alice's friend Carter. How bad is Mr. Johnson?" I asked as I tried to cover Alice's mouth so that she would be quiet. She kept on squirming and clawing at my fingers. I looked at Alice and she bit me. "Ouch! Um, sorry about that. My friend bit me."

"It's okay," she chuckled, "He is getting along but he can't be left alone. He's had 4 seizures over the past 24 hours."

"I see. Well, if it's okay. We want to visit him tomorrow after school."

"Okay. I'll see what I can do. I will call this number again once I get an answer."

I said, "Okay," and we said bye. As soon as I got off the phone Alice questioned me about everything. "Okay, okay. Hold on will ya?" I told her everything. Once she heard that we might be able to visit her father, she jumped on me.

"I love you! You are like, the best friend ever!" she screamed. I looked at the time. It was 6:00 p.m.

"Come on, we'd better get you home then." I said as I stood up. She stood up as well and nodded in agreement. We exited my house and started for hers. On the way there, we saw Dean sitting on a bench my her house. Once he saw us he stood up and walked over. "What are you doing here Dean?"

"I heard about Alice's parents and I knew that you were either going to be here or your house so I came here thinking your aunt was home... You're not mad, are you?" He asked giving us puppy dog eyes.

And just because he was doing that, I pet him on the head and said, "Good boy. You waited for us the whole time. I'm surprised you didn't go pee." I giggled a bit and he gave me a priceless look on his face. As we all entered Alice's house, I stayed outside. I closed the door and sat down on the doorstep. I pulled out a packet of cigarettes, lit one, and started smoking.

The next thing I know, they are back. Not Alice and Dean. No, I mean Katie and Dean's friends that called me a slut. They walked up to me and I ignored them. Katie huffed at me but, I still ignored her. Then Micheal, one of Dean's friends, snatched my cigarette, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it. I sighed in frustration and stood up. As I stood up, Katie slapped me thinking that I fought like a girly prick. Well, she was completely wrong. I rubbed my cheek where she slapped me. Every single one of Dean's friends backed off but, Katie stood her ground. I brought my hand up ready to slap her, put it into a fist, and punched her square in the nose.

"OUCH! God damn it! You Freaking SLUT!" She squealed, "I'm going to freaking KILL YOU!" She put her hands around my neck and tried chocking me but, I gave no reaction. "SCREAM GOD DAMN IT! SCREAM IN PAIN!" She yelled in my face. The thing she did right after that just went over the edge. She slammed me on the ground and started making fun of my parents. "Your mother was a slut. She was found on street corners by creeps and raped. And your father abused you because of it! I was raised correctly and you were raised by homos! Your parents were crap and you deserve to be tortured by your aunt and uncle for the rest of your miserable life!" That just ticked me off.

"That's it," I whispered under my breath.

"What was that? Did you just say that your mother is a slut?" She said sarcastically.

"THAT'S IT! I'm sick of you, and your F**KING ATTITUDE! All you are is a fake piece of crap hidden under lies and make up. My parents were the best parents in the whole world and nothing will change my mind. So what if I don't remember them well. I know that my mother was a stay at home mother because I was home school until they died. My father was always at work. He only got 5 hours of sleep per night because he worked 3 part time jobs. My parents loved me and I love them. Nothing will change that," I yelled in her face the whole time I was talking to her. Her face just kept on filling with fear. "If anything, you're the one that some one should be sorry for. You think you can do what you want to. You've been kicked out of your own home because your parents were angry at you. I also know that you've run away in the past," she went pale and I continued, "So, what do you have to say for yourself ass hole?" She just stared at me with a plain, pale, and frightened face. Dean's friends had already run off and she was all alone. She soon started crying and ran away.
