Astronomical Connection ~ Tom Riddle

We were talking about the Astronomy tower and this idea popped into my head lol.

You walk up the stairs to the astronomy tower, your heart racing as you re-read the note that had been mysteriously given to you during potions.
It was signed by a man that you had never even heard of before.
Tom Riddle

The temperature in the air seemed to be getting colder the closer you got to the top of the tower.
When you finally reached the top, you gently pushed open the doors to see an old diary sitting in the middle of the floor, along with a quil.

You walk over to the book, only to see that there is already a message there.

Hello

The message said.
You pick up the quil and dip it into the ink jar that was sitting beside the book.

Hello?

You reply.
Your eyes widen as the words on the book begin to disappear.
You quickly flip the page to see if it leaked through, but they were completely gone.

That's when more words started to appear.

What's your name?

You sighed before picking up the quil again.

Y/n

The ink disappears again as you wait for a response.
Finally, you get one.

What a pretty name. My name is Tom...Tom Riddle

Your eyes widen at the use of the familiar name that had sent you the letter about an hour ago.

Are you the one who sent me the letter?

Yes

You take a deep breath before writing another message.

Who are you....and how do you know me?

The ink disappears as you wait for a response. It took a little longer than it usually did... but eventually it came.

I've known you for a while y/n. We have a special connection that no one else has with anyone. It's- astronomical, if you will.

You furrow your eyebrows at the response.

Why are you just now making an effort to talk to me?

You've become of age. I had to wait until you were older, your parents would have killed me if I talked to you earlier.

He explains.

Like I told you before y/n....we have a connection like no one else has with anybody.

Your breathing becomes heavy as you piece together what's actually happening.

Before I actually start talking to you...I need you to prove that you're not just my friends playing a prank on me

The diary begins to spin as a blue light appears from the middle. Your eyes close shut from the light until it finally dims into a softer color.

You look up to see a vision of a man with black hair and Slytherin robes.

"Hello y/n" he says deeply.
"A-are you-" you begin.

"Yes" he says bluntly.

"I've been waiting for you for a very long time y/n. Now that you're older, I think it's time you know what your duty to the Slytherins...truly is"

Heyyyyy. So this is just an idea that popped into my head last night while talking to Sedona about the astronomy tower lol.
