I wake up to Ella sitting on my chest. "Daddy... daddy!" said Ella. "Yeah" I said. "Cereal?" asked Ella. "Yeah, of course" I said. I sit up and she jumps to the floor. I stand up and we go to the kitchen. I begin to make her cereal and then I serve it to her. I make mine and sit down. Today is mine and Christina's anniversary. I should do an Instagram post.

Ella claps. "Can I get dressed now?" asked Ella. I nod and we go to her room. I put her in a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt with Scooby-Doo on it. I put her converse on and put her hair in a ponytail. I go get dressed and that consists of jeans, a baggy top and vans. I do my hair and I go get Ella's lunch ready. I put it inside the bag and sigh. We get in the car and I drive to the school. I spot Marley and Drayton. We step out and walk over. "Hi, Maryley, Drayton" I said. "Hey.... nice seeing you again" said Marley. We walk together and we let them in. I smile and wave. We head back. "You going to work?" I ask. "Yeah, getting the bus" said Marley. "Let me drop you" I said. "I can't be a burden" said Marley. "Your not a burden. Come on, it's the least I can do, plus its near the studio I have to go to anyway" I said. She nods and we get inside. We drive to the restaurant. "Have a good day, Marley" I said. "I'll try, you too" said Marley. She steps out and goes inside. I drive to the studio and park. I get out and go into the studio.
The boys wave. "How are you?" asked Jack. "Good. Saw Marley again" I said. "Marley?" said Jonah. "Oh, a single mother I met at Ella's school. I dropped her to her job" I said. They nod. "Are you OK? It's yours and Tina's anniversary" said Daniel. "I will be" I said. Daniel smiles and hugs me. We get to work and I just look around. I sit down and rub my eyes. We have lunch once they see I'm not myself. We dig in and Jonah looks at me. "We're done for the day. Let's go to the beach" said Jonah. I nod and we leave. We sit on the sand and I play with some sand. "I know this is hard" said Jack. "I know. 5 years and I thought I'd be fine" I said. "Hey, at least you didn't lock yourself away this time" said Jack. "Lucky me" I said, dryly. "OK OK, look let's go to the Cheesecake Factory" said Zach. I nod and we head to the restaurant. We step inside and Marley walks over. "Hi" said Marley. "Hey Marley" I said, giving her a small smile. "I'm assuming it's a table for 5" said Marley. "Yup" I said. "Follow me" said Marley. We get to the table and we sit down. "Oh, Corbyn.... Ashley came in today.... we don't need to go to the cafe, we talked and she's hired. Thank you for everything" said Marley. "Oh great! Well, I'm sure she'd love Drayton" I said. "I showed her a picture, she was adored by him" said Marley. "MARLEY! GET BACK TO WORK!" yelled the boss. She nods and leaves.
"She's pretty" said Daniel. "Shut up" I said. "You like her" said Daniel. "No. She is a friend" I said. We order our food and Marley goes to put the order in. I smile and take a sip of my water. "It's OK to date other girls" said Zach. I kick him. "I know but I have Ella. Maybe when Ella is older" I said. "Dude.... she needs a mom" said Zach. "God, I know but for now she hasn't asked" I said. Zach nods and rubs his leg. "Ouch, Corb, you didn't need to kick me that hard" said Zach. "Sorry.... oh thanks Marley" I said. She smiles and hands everyone their food. She leaves and I dig in. I hear shouting. "Your fired Marley" said the boss. Marley gasps and begins to tear up. I stand up and go over. "What's going on?" I ask. "This woman spilt her entire tray of drinks on the customers!" said the boss. "It was an accident, sir." I said. "Please... I need money to keep my apartment! I haven't paid rent yet" said Marley. "Tough" said the boss. She begins to cry. I hug her. "Shh, it's OK. Do you have money for rent?" I ask. "No. The owner is kicking us out" said Marley. "Live with me and Ella, we have spare rooms. We need the company" I said. "I can't" said Marley. "You can, now let us eat and then we'll get your stuff" I said. She nods and we go back over. "Everyone this is Marley" I said. We sit down and I give her some chips. She thanks me and takes a bite. Once we finish, she shows me to her apartment. We pack everything up and into a moving van. We go to my house and unpack. She sits on her bed and rubs her face. "I'm such a failure" said Marley. "Your not" I said. "You own your house, in a band, rich, working. While I am barely getting by" said Marley. "I was not like this when Ella was born. Marley, we all have our ups and downs but we can get through them. If I can, you can" I said.

She nods and we go get Ella and Drayton. "Dray, me and you are going to be living with Corbyn and Ella for a while, OK" said Marley. "OK, mommy" said Drayton. We drive home and go inside. We sit on the sofa while the kids play games. "See, they get along great" I said. "They sure do. So, where are you from?" asked Marley. "My father was in the army so we moved around a lot but I was born in Dallas, Texas. What about you?" I ask. "New York. My parents divorced. My mum was not the best so my dad got full custody over me and my brother, David. We moved here" said Marley. "Oh right, so do you love LA?" I ask. "Yeah, I guess" said Marley. "You do" I said. "I do. I can't lie" said Marley. We order pizza and watch movies. Drayton and Ella go to bed at 8 and we watch movies. At 11 we both go to our rooms to go to bed. I instantly fall asleep.
