Chapter 1

Olivia po.v.

Moving, its nothing new to me. Ive moved since I was a little girl my mom and dad say that moving keeps me a secret. My name is Olivia Hale. My mom Rosalie and my dad Emmett have done everything to keep me a secret. A secret from the vampires a secret from the wolves a secret from everyone. My mom wasn't always my mom, from the stories she has told me it seems that my grandpa Carslie found me when I was just 3 months old. He knew from the second he met me that I was special. I was unappetizing to him. Almost like the blood that ran through my veins was posions to him. Later we would find out just how true that was. After my bio mom dumped me at the hospital it was only hours till I was placed in the strong protective arms of my dad Emmett. My olive skin contrasted his and it offered a more welcoming inbrace. All but hours later i was introduced to my mom, Roasalie, she is the most beatuiful woman i had ever seen. I was later introduced to my grandma Esme, and my uncles and aunt. Jasper was the first to approach me while in my moms arms, he being new to the world my parents lived made my mom hesitant at first but when she realized he had no erge to kill me she loosened up. My scent was unapealing to him and my whole family. Uncle Edward was next, its like he knew what was going through my mind even before I did, he had a calming nature about him. Alice had already started dressing my up like a doll, i would be here favorite thing to dress up.

As I look around at all my boxes packed away I try and rember the last time we all had to move. I was 10 my mom and dad said that I would love Alaska and that we would be able to return whenever I wanted. That was a lie we never returned but here i am a 16 year old girl about to more to Forks Washington.  I don't know what is so special about forks but my family is so happy to move there. I on the other had could care less. I could never leave my mom she is like my rock. I sigh and fall on my bed. I know as soon as I do that my mom would be up in my room in moments. Of course I was right as I heard a faint knock on my bedroom door. "come in" I say and look up and see my moms beautiful blonde hair and gold eyes peak around the door. "everything ok sweetie?" she asked in a soft tone, I nod and sit up on my bed.  "just stressed over packing," I say and she nods and walks around the door. "I just don't know what all I want to bring," I say and she nods. "well you can bring whatever you want, we are still keeping the house and all your things will still be here. Sweetie it is not that far to forks and whenever you want to come back we can, and this time I mean it." she said with a soft smile. The one thing I love about my mom is she is so nurturing. She knows that this is hard on me and she tries her best to make it all better. I smile at her "I just don't know what clothes to bring, or decor. I've never seen my room at the forks house." I say as I lean into my moms cold embrace. "sweetie if thats what you are afraid of I can promise you that alice will take you shoping and get you whatever you need from your room."Mom said with a bright smile. I smile and wrap my arms around her. "Thanks mom" I smile at her she kisses the top of my head and I hug her tighter. "Okay my sweet girl, lets get you some breakfast and then we are leaving this afternoon." She says and leads the way to the kitchen where esme is making waffles bacon and eggs. "oh look there is my sleeping beauty, how did you sleep my darling?" she says as she comes to give me a hug. I hugged her back "I slept good," I said with a smile. She pulled away and I go and sit down on the stool. Esme gave me a plate full of food. I thank her and began to eat the food. I am deep in my food when i hear a loud bang that makes me jump. Before I know it Mom and Esme are beside me. I look up at them and then hear "sorry, just me." I sigh a relife when Alice comes into view. Mom relaxes beside me and as I put my hand on her arm. She smiles down at me and gives me a kiss on the head. I turn and see Esme's eyes soften. I give her hand a squeze and she smiles warmly at me. I go back to eating as my family relaxed. I finished eating and then return to my room. I pack up the few boxes that I know I want to take with. These boxes consist of clothes and shoes.Alice has spent years working to build my clothes collection and I know she would be pissed if I didn't continue to build the collection.

After a few more hours of packing it was finally time to leave. The whole family packed everything into the moving truck and we headed out. I of course I was in the back seat of my dads jeep. Dad was driving while Mom was in the passanger seat. I look down at my phone and start to play a game.I knew this was going to be a long drive but I don't think I realized how long. The drive was about 48 hours. The longest drive of my life. I know if it was just my family it wouldn't have been so long if I didn't have to stop and eat and use the bathroom. My mom and dad didn't seem to mind it was mostly because we get to spend more time together. My other family continued on to the new home and said they would have it set up by the time we get there. I knew the way the previous time we moved that my mom and dad would be going back to school as well as my aunt and uncles. Which just means that I will be left alone with my grandma while she teaches me. I haven't went to normal school becasue I need extra precaution to keep me safe in the face of danger. I sigh as I look up at my mom. "Hey mom" I say and she looks back at me. " yes sweetie," She asked. "when you and dad return to school will I be staying with esme again?" I asked and mom quickly looked at my dad. "Sweetie your mom and I think that once we get there you should be able to make that call on your own. You are becoming a young woman." dad said and I nod. I look out the window and see the forest blurring into one. As I slowly drift off to sleep. I feel my eyes closing and feel the warmth of sleep take over my body.
