Ch. 2
I walk upstairs to the library for study hall and take a seat at one of the tables. I pulled out my chemistry homework since it was an AP class, so there was homework on the first day, unfortunately. Some people do homework during study hall and some just relax, but I am one of those people that do their homework since I have dance after school and try to take advantage of the time I have. I feel my phone vibrate as I see Jordan's name pop up on my screen.
I read his text saying, "wanna grab some dinner after dance practice ;)"
I smile at my phone and reply with, "yes of course! Meet me at my house around 6:30?"
I feel another vibration and read "sounds good to me. See you later"
I put my phone away and then continue my homework. Third period ends and I head to the gym. As I enter the gym, I see one of my other best friends, Lola, who I haven't seen all summer because she was in Mexico to visit her hometown and family.
"Ahhhh! I'm so glad to see you Lola! I missed you so much," I say to her as I hug her.
"I missed you too bitch," Lola laughs as she hugs me back.
"How was Mexico?" I ask Lola.
"It was so fucking fun. I will have to bring you there some time," Lola says.
"Yes please. I wanna go there so badly. Please take me with you," I beg Lola.
"Yes I gotchu girl don't worry, but how was your summer?" Lola asks
"It was nice and relaxing. I went to Illinois to visit my sister and Chicago is so beautiful. I wanna go there again. I also got a summer job at some roller rank, but I only work once or twice a week now because of school," I tell Lola as we sit on the bleachers waiting for the gym teachers to talk about the class.
We talked for most of the period since for the first day of gym we only went over rules and safety, so it was really laid back. Next, I go to lunch and sit with Angelica, Lola, Nova, and Gabriella which was my tight little friend group. I sit next to Nova and Angelica while Lola and Gabriella sit across from me. The girls fangirl over the new boy, Lucas, which I thought was funny since he wasn't all that to me, but I guess the Australian accent was definitely a plus. We talked about our classes and teachers and boys and soon lunch was over. I then go to my math class and yet again, I see Lucas with Alec, Justin, and Emanuel. I say hi to them all since I hang out with the boys besides Lucas a decent amount of times because of Jordan. They all say hi, and I take a seat next to my friend Emma. Math goes by quickly and next thing I know it, I am in French class with Gabriella. French class soon ends, and I go to my last period class which is English with Journey. After English class, I walk with Journey to her locker to grab her dance stuff and then to my locker to grab mine. We change into our dance clothes and eat our snacks before practice begins. As I go to fill up my water bottle, I see Jordan and his football friends with him.
"Hey Fiona. I just wanna make sure we are still on for dinner tonight," Jordan tells me with a wink.
"Yes of course! I'll see you later," I say as I lean in to kiss his cheek
"See you later," he says as I wave to him and his friends.
I walk back into practice and we begin stretches. Dance quickly ends at 5:30 before I know it, and I head to my car with my dance friends. I say goodbye and enter my car. I get my music playlist on and head home. As soon as I get home around 5:45, I take a quick shower since I was all sweaty and smelly from practice. After my shower, I put on a UCLA sweatshirt and some leggings, and pulled my hair into a ponytail and applied a couple coats of mascara. I decided to go with a lazy look since it was a school day, and we would probably just go to some quick fast food place like In n Out. I get a text from Jordan saying he was outside and saying goodbye to my grandparents since my mom was at work as I walk out the door.
"Hey! How was football practice?" I ask Jordan as I enter his BMW.
"You know. The same old same old. The coach made us run a crap ton of sprints, so I'm kinda tired," Jordan replies as he pulls out of my driveway.
"So what do you have planned for dinner?" I ask as he begins to drive.
"I was thinking In n Out burger," Jordan says while taking a glance at me with a smile then looking back on the road.
"You read my mind. I was thinking the same thing," I laughed.
"I mean I guess it's not like we've been dating for 6 months or anything," Jordan says with sarcasm.
"You're right. How long has it been? Like 3 months or so?" I joked.
"Haha very funny," Jordan says as he pulls up to In n Out.
We walk out of the car and into the fast food restaurant. The cashier takes our order, and we grab a table waiting a few minutes for the food.
"Are you boys ready for the first football game of the season Friday?" I ask right before I take a bite of my cheeseburger.
"Yes we are totally going to make the other team cry," Jordan laughs and takes a bite of his burger.
"Yea you guys have been working really hard, so I wouldn't be surprised," I tell him.
We continue chatting and eating our food. Once we finish our burgers, we get into his car, and he begins driving to my place. While driving, Jordan gets a call from his phone and he answers.
"What's up," Jordan speaks into his phone.
I don't know what the other person on the phone is saying but Jordan nods his head and tells the other person he would ask me.
"Wanna hang with a couple of people at Lucas' house," Jordan asks.
I debated whether or not going since Luke didn't really seem like he liked me all that much in chemistry class, so I told Jordan maybe next time since I also had homework.
"Are you sure," Jordan asks reassuringly.
"Yea I'm sure but you should still go," I tell Jordan and he nods
We get to my house, and I kiss him goodbye. I know I said he should go but I was kinda hoping I had him all to myself, so we could watch a movie or a show or just hang since I don't really get to see him in school, but it's cool he should hang with his friends too. It's currently 8, so I finish some leftover homework and finish around 10 and go on my phone to check my social media. Around 11:30, I fell asleep.
