Ch. 5
I arrived at Angelica's around 8 ish. Oops. I was notorious for being late. It was a terrible habit I needed to get rid of. I text her that I'm here, and she opens the front door.
"Hey girl! Are you ready to have some fun?!" Angelica says and motions me inside.
"Yes. This is long overdue," I respond and follow Angelica down her stairs to the basement where I see Nova, Gabriella, and Lola sitting on the coach.
"Hey Fiona!!! How's Jordan?" Lola questions while motioning me to sit down next to her.
"He actually looks pretty good considering that he has a concussion, but his memory is still not quite there," I say while slightly looking at the ground feeling sad.
"Aww I'm sorry girl. At least he's not dead am I right?" Gabriella jokes.
"You're right. It could have been a hell of a lot worse. I'm happy he is alive," I said, starting to lighten up.
"Woah what if he falls in love with another girl because he doesn't know he's in love with you?" Nova wonders out loud in deep thought.
"Honestly, that would suck ass," I say as I think about the first time he told me he loved me.
*FLASHBACK*
"Remind me again why I let you convince me to take the gondola lift. You know I'm not the biggest fan of heights," Jordan questions and he tries to recover from the lift.
"Because you knew it would make me happy," I laugh as I lean in for a side hug.
We were currently walking along Santa Cruz beach after an eventful day riding rides, playing games, and splashing each other in the water.
"Nah I think it was because someone told me to live a little," Jordan confirms wrapping his arms around me.
"Hmm wise words. Who told you that," I questioned.
"Oh I don't know some girl. I don't know if you know her. Her name is Fiona," Jordan continues.
"Damn she sounds really cool. I would love to meet her," I say, continuing the joke.
"Yea she would love you if you ever met her, almost as much as I love you," Jordan says while stopping to look me in the eyes.
Okay I knew I really liked him and cared for him, but was I in love? We have been dating for 6 months. It was only a matter of time before we exchanged our I love yous. It didn't feel like the love I see in the movies but love comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes. This was our love.
"I love you," I respond as we both lean in for a kiss. After being all cute and lovey dovey, we talked about senior year.
"First day of senior year tomorrow. Crazy how fast high school went," Jordan says and walks into his car.
"Yea I know. It was just yesterday I was walking down the halls as a freshman," I reminisce and take a seat in the passenger seat.
"It's still so crazy that I didn't know you until junior year. Well I knew of you but not like know know you, you know," Jordon says as he backs out of the parking lot.
"Yea I know. We were just in different worlds it seemed like," I say with a slight laugh.
With that, we talk some more about high school memories driving home from the beach.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
"Fiona!" Gabriella says snapping her fingers in front of my face to get my attention.
"Sorry. What Nova said really got me thinking... I love him and there is always a possibility he might not ever love me again," I speak out my thoughts.
"Who wouldn't love you?" Angelica says trying to lighten up the mood which sure as hell worked.
"You're right. I am THAT bitch. I'll get him back," I announce to my friends as we take shots.
After shots on shots on shots, we are beyond drunk. I want to text Jordan but I know I shouldn't. We slowly fall asleep around 2.
