Maia’s POV

I walked out with confidence. Chatter scattered the room until I made it out of my room. The living room was filled with silence. A smile grew on my face and everyone gathered around me to say hello. I searched the room for my mom. I saw her sitting on the couch talking with my aunt while she held a small child in her arms. She looked over at me and gave me a wave to come over.

“Maia, meet your new little cousin”

My eyes went soft as I saw her little face. I walked over and let her grab ahold of my finger.

“What’s her name?”

“Lily. Lily Mitchell”

“Would you want to hold her?”

I give a slight nod and my mom shifts her into my arms. She so small, so beautiful. I sit down on the couch staring into her little pupils. My mom snaps a couple photos and continues her conversation with my aunt.  I couldn’t handle it. Being a mom. My arms are stiff as a board fearing I’ll break her. Over time I begin to relax until she gives a slight cry. I freak out thinking it’s my fault. I quickly had her to my mom and walk away afraid I did something wrong.

“Maia, come back, she was just waking up” my mom says smiling.

I walk back over knowing that everything is okay.

David’s POV

That’s it. I’ve had enough. No more silence. I agree to myself that I can’t handle Maia not talking to me. I quickly click on her contact and text her ‘i’m sorry’. I actually don’t know what I did, but Jake taught me to just apologize first. I wait at least 5 minutes for her to reply, but she doesn’t. I grab my headphones and plug them into my phone pressing shuffle and fall asleep.

I wake up to a slight ding. My phone read ‘For what? It’s my fault’ it read from Maia. I sat up from my bed reading the text before thinking what to say back. I couldn’t figure what to say. I lay back with a smile. Thinking, what’s next?

Maia’s POV

Hours later I still held onto the little angel sleeping in my arms. A ringing sound had begun so I quickly grabbed my phone to keep her from waking up. From David it read ‘i’m sorry’. I didn’t understand, sorry for what? He never did anything. It’s my fault. Why did I fall for him?

“Maia sweety I haven’t talked to you one bit!” Grandma says walking over and sitting down next to mom and my aunt.

“Hi Grandma” I say smiling at her and then back down to Lily.

“Have you been good back in LA?” she says chuckling and looking over at mom.

“Yes, Grandma.” I laugh.

“So, how’s your love life?” She says with her toothy smile.

“Grandma!” I shriek out in embarrassment.

My mom starts laughing almost till tears.

“I haven’t been-”

“You better not have been.” she says

“What ever happened to that one boy, Remi?” she said questioning.

“You mean Ramy, Grandma.”

“Whatever happened to him? He wasn’t the highest gentleman, but was still charming.”

“We broke up” I blurted out.

“Because?...”

“He thought I was cheating on him.”

“Were you?” she asks

“Of course not! I would never.”

“He just thought I had a thing with this other guy.”

“Who?”

“Uh, umm, my co-star”

“That cute brown haired boy? He’s a cute one Maia.” she said giving a wink

“Grandma!”

“You deserve someone better. You deserve someone that trusts and loves you.”

I look down remembering the first time David said he loved me. Well at least Brandon telling Callie. I always wished he was saying it to me. Fans went crazy that night. Now brallie shippers are disappearing more and more in every episode.

“Maia?” Grandma says as I zone back into focus.

“What?” I ask her

“Do you have any love interests?”

I start to blush as I think of David.

“Okay I maybe have a little crush” I say

“Who?!” Grandma, mom, and my aunt all say at once.

“David.” I say with a quirky smile.

“I told you!” Grandma says pointing to my aunt and mom.

“Wait.. you guys knew?” I say with a shocked face

“Of course honey! Have you seen the way you look at him in the show?”

I looked down shunning the embarrassment.

“You have my blessing Maia. He seems like a respectful, trustworthy boy.”

“I just don’t know how to tell him.”

“You’ll figure it out in time. Love can wait eternity for the right person.”

I smile and respond back to David’s text.
