David’s POV

It has been a week and Ashley still hasn’t talked to me. Jake came over the other day. I tried to talk to him about what I should do.

“Just text her, its not that hard” Jake speaks

“I don’t want her to think that everything is just automatically okay”

“Whats the problem anyway.”

“I don’t know. I feel like I don’t feel the same as before. Like we are different now”

“What’s a sign that proves that you’re different?”

“I stopped before we had sex”

“You did what?!”

“I wasn’t really into it” I say

“How? What the hell man!”

“I just didn’t want to okay!”

“Okay but you should probably talk to someone”

“Who should I talk to?” asking Jake

“Not me apparently because I don’t have you problems” Jake says winking

“Dude this is serious”

“Just talk to Cierra or something. She’s a girl”

“Yeah, okay fine” I say accepting

“Okay I’m gonna leave now”

“K, bye”

“Bye” Jake says leaving my apartment

Then I decided to text Cierra to see if she could be any help.

‘Hey I need your advice’ I sent to her. She shortly responded with ‘k, meet me at the cafe we normally go to’ So I quickly texted back with a ‘okay be there in 5 minutes’

Five minutes later Cierra shows up.

“Hey, so you need my advice again?” She spoke with a chuckle

“Yeah kinda”

“So what’s up?” She said as we both sat down at the little table outside.

“Me and Ashley are having issues”

“What kind of issues”

“Issues I should not be talking to you about”

“Oh I see”

“Yeah” I say looking at the ground with embarrassment

“So when did these problems start?”

“I guess it started when Maia started to talk to me again. When me and Ashley first started dating she wouldn’t even look at me. I always meant to ask her why, but I guess she just got over it.”

“No she didn’t”

“What do you mean?”

“Um, nothing.”

“Well, what do I do?” I questioned

“I think first you need to talk to Maia”

“About my problems with Ashley? Don’t you think she will feel kinda awkward?”

“I don’t know, but one thing is for sure”

“And what is that?”

“You can’t just text her to talk” Cierra stated

“Why not?”

“David, just don’t do it”

“Okay then what should I do? Call her?”

“I don’t really care, as long as you do not text her”

“I have never called her before though”

“You’ve never called Maia!”

“No, why is that a problem?”

“David, just don’t text her” Cierra says standing up and whipping her purse over her shoulder

“Bye Cierra. Thanks for the advice” I say sarcastically

“Bye David” Cierra says as she walks away.

Cierra’s POV

After me and David’s chat I decided to give Maia a little heads up for what she is in for. So I text her ‘You're Welcome’ then shortly after she responds with ‘For what?.’ Thinking through my text, I finally reply with ‘You’ll thank me for it later’ and I close my phone.
