(Short Chapter)
Maia’s POV
I tried to hold back my tears so he wouldn’t see them. I stare down at the floor as he tells me all his problems with his relationship with another girl.
“Maia?” he says speaking through Skype.
I had zoned out trying to think what I should say. Should I tell him about my feelings?
“Maia I need your help” he speaks
With those words he finally caught me attention.
“I’m sorry I can’t help you” I say and quickly slam my laptop shut. I cry and cry. I cry because I wish he knew how I felt. I cry because I miss him. And I need to talk to someone so I throw my laptop back open making sure the Skype call had already ended. It did end. I click on Cierra’s Skype hoping she will answer. I wipe my face trying to hide what had just happened seconds ago.
“Hey Maia!”
“Cierra.” I say with water dripping from my eyes.
“Maia what’s wrong?”
“David Skyped me.”
“Isn’t that a good thing? Why are you crying?”
“He wanted advice about Ashley” I spoke.
“He asked me too, but I thought you would want to handle it by telling him how you feel” Cierra spoke
“I CAN’T TELL HIM, DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT CIERRA?!”
“Maia, I’m sorry you are getting so upset” she started to feel bad
“NO CIERRA I'M NOT UPSET. ITS JUST THAT THE GUY THAT I AM IN LOVE WITH JUST ASKED ME FOR RELATIONSHIP ADVICE FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND AND WAS SENT TO ME BY ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS. SO NO CIERRA I’M NOT UPSET.” I say screaming at her.
“Maia please-”
“I’M SO DONE CIERRA! WITH YOU AND DAVID.”
Cierra’s eyes were filled with cloudy tears.
“I’m sorry Cierra, but it looks like June 19th is too early for me to come home. And by the way we might not talk for awhile because I need time to forgive you. I love you but I need time to decide what I should do. Talk to you later.” I say apologizing
“Maia just please forgive me!” Cierra pleads
“I can’t right now, I’m sorry”
“Bye Cierra” I say pressing ‘end’.
Now I still have to figure out what I’m going to say to David.
