"Okay, so I'm doin' it,"
You confess to Yuji as you sit across him at the dining table at their home as you accompany him as you both eat your dinner.
"what are you going to do, senpai?" He answers with his mouth full.
You look at him in disbelief, which he gives you a 'sorry' look before continuing on,
"I came to the conclusion that you're right," You started, "And, I decided to confess to Miya Osamu tomorrow," You say convincingly. Well, more like your convincing yourself.
"Are you sure, (Y/N)-senpai?" He asks before chugging down his glass of water. "You don't have to feel the need to do it, just because I told you so," He added.
"Well, I know. It's just that, there are many what-ifs and maybe I'd regret it someday, ya know," You say as you take a dumpling on your plate.
"I think he'd say yes and you'd be a couple sooner or later. I bet that," Yuji announced with a smile.
A conversation you had with Yuji last night as you really thought hard about your confession today. Regardless of the 'holiday' today, you are really decided that you wanted to go and confess to Osamu, and man up.
It is unusual for girls to confess to their crushes, but, how hard can that be?
You just wanted to take out your feelings for him, with or without response, the important thing is, you got to say what you wanted to say or you'll regret it someday.
You let out a huff as you slowly walk towards the gray-haired spiker, thankfully, alone by the vending machine as he stresses himself on what drinks to choose.
There's nothing really new much in the vending machine. Same, old, bland juices.
"Samu," You call out as you watch him give you a quick glance before pressing the button under the drink he chose.
"Ya look mad," He blurts as he waits for the drink to fall down. "Yer mad at me?" He added.
"No?" Where did that even come from? Do I look angry?
"Ya look mad," He repeated, giving me another quick glance as he picks up the bottle of iced tea. "Are ya sure yer not mad?" He added as he stands in front of me, eyebrows furrowed.
"I'll be mad, right now if you continue asking me that," You retort, pursing your lips.
He mumbles an incoherent apology which made you chuckle, "Okay, listen," You started as you take a deep sigh.
"Okay? Is this something serious?" He asks as he opens the bottle cap which you responded with a nod.
He hums in response, taking a sip on his drink, his gaze still locked on you.
"Okay, so," You start, "Do you want to– uh– ya know, maybe," You say as slowly as you can, fiddling with your fingers.
"Doyouwanttogooutwithmesometime?" You blurt out with one breathing which Osamu just continues sipping on his drink.
Okay, I don't think he understood me, I mean dumb me.
"Do you want to go out with me, sometime?" You utter as you look at him and watch him continue to sip down his drink.
Okay, bottoms down, sir.
"Okay," You started again just to ease down the awkwardness and the complete silence between you,
"I really don't need any response right now but I'm hecking serious that I'm asking you out and all," You continue as you worry takes over you, "And, uhm– I didn't really mean to ruin this friendship. I just want to say my feelings out and maybe since they say it, it's an easy way to move on.
But, yeah. I think you're really a nice guy and funny, and very responsible which is a very turn-on for me. Your presence makes me feel safe and as if I'm home, you know which may sound cheesy and cringy as heck," You rumble, letting out a nervous chuckle.
But as you enumerate all the things you like about him, nevertheless, he still didn't budge and his drink almost finished.
As you open your mouth for a word, Osamu puts down his drink, putting the bottle cap on again. Without your knowledge, deep inside, Osamu's still processing the words and trying hard to stay composed to look cool.
"Give me a sec," Osamu says, almost in a whisper as he walks past you, going back to the classroom leaving you clueless.
"That's a no, then?"
