OSAMU'S POV
day one;
It's starting to warm now. But, thick jackets are still a need every morning. I walk silently alone at the meeting place, which is at the the corner of the street.
Atsumu, once again, gave me a difficulty to wake him up so I just left him alone and maybe, just wait for him to whine like a child.
In a moment, a thought came into my mind and even considering that Atsumu, waking up late can be a blessing in disguise for a while.
Arigatou, Kami-sama.
I say inside my head as I gaze at the sky before making my way to (Y/N)'s home.
Since, I've told her that I would do anything to prove that I really like her. Not, just a thought. But, really like her. I decided to walk to her home and walk with her to the bus stop, instead of the usual.
I started my journey to her home, thankfully I've been there before and still remembers it as I've only been there when we were in our first years.
As I near their home, my eyes caught a sight of the similar luxurious car, her, and Daisuke.
A faint sound of (Y/N)'s voice become louder as I continuously walk to her home.
Seems like she's complaining.
"I can handle myself in the street, 'ya know?" She assures Daisuke, who looks really serious as his arms crossed in front of chest.
Should I turn back?
No. I'm already here.
As soon as I near them, (Y/N) caught a glance of me, immediately averting her attention towards me.
"Morning," I greet them, bowing slightly to Daisuke as a sign of acknowledgement which he also nods to.
(Y/N) smiles at me, her lower eyes crinkling as she offered me a smile. She gives Daisuke a short glance before giving her attention to me fully and jog towards me.
She stands in front of me, smiling at me making my cheeks warm, "Osamu's here. I'll walk with him to school!" (Y/N) says to the dark-haired guy, and as always looking posh as she glances back at him.
I look at her, my eyes widen slightly at her announcement. I mean, I should be expecting it since that is really my purpose for coming here. And, it is also obvious that Daisuke was surprised by her.
Now, I remember I forgot something to ask her something yesterday.
Her relationship with Daisuke.
"Are you sure? Maybe Miya Osamu has some errands to go to," Kambe says, grabbing my attention as well, wanting to narrow my eyes at him.
"It is okay to walk with you, right?" She asks, turning her attention at me.
"Yes. I don't really see any problem with it," I say, the tone of my voice sounding more confident, compared to the usual nonchalant or monotone voice.
Before, Daisuke can reply to my answer. The front gate opens as a petite, black hair walks out of the home.
"Oh, going to school?" A professional-looking, petite girl says, turning to (Y/N) then to me, "Oh, you must be Miya Osamu," She greets me with a sweet smile. "Ohayo!" She greets me which I reply back as well.
"That's Suzue-neesan," (Y/N) mumbles as she introduces her to me.
"Are you going to walk with her to school?" She asks with a knowing smile.
"Yes, if it's okay," I reply, glancing at Suzue-san then to Daisuke.
"N—" Kambe replies but cut off immediately by Suzue-neesan, "Yeah, why not!" Suzue-neesan exclaims, a bit of excitement on her tone.
"You'll be late for work if you drive (Y/N) to school," She says to Daisuke.
(Y/N) let out a snicker, making me glance at her, "Ikkou," She says softly, resting her hands around my bicep.
"I'll see you later, Daisuke-nii!" She waves to Daisuke as he sighs, waving back at her.
Daisuke-nii?
We both make our way to school. Halfway, I glance back at the two seeing Kambe as if complaining to a giggling Suzue. Suddenly, (Y/N) slides her hand down on my bicep and tuck her hands in her pockets.
Maybe because of the cold weather. And, she really doesn't have gloves.
But, why would the need to let go? Hold my hand next time, I can keep your hands warm.
"I didn't know you'd be walking with me," (Y/N) starts with a teasing tone as she give my side a nudge.
"Well, I did promise that I'll prove myself," I say, gazing at her with a small smile which she just nods in remembering.
How I wish this walk would never end.
As soon as we arrived at the bus stop, we both take a seat by the bench and stay silent for a while.
Can't really imagine being silent with Atsumu around.
"Sorry about earlier, again. I just have to get away from my oh so protective cousin," She replies, smiling at me shyly as we wait for the bus to arrive.
That got my attention, "cousin?" I ask.
"Yeah? Daisuke is my cousin and Suzue-neesan as well," She says, "Why? What did you think?" She asks me with a teasing tone, nudging my arm with her elbow.
"Nothing," I murmur as my cheeks became red from embarrassment.
"Seriously?" She says with a chuckle as she looks at me, insisting me to answer.
"I thought, he was, 'ya know—" I say, almost a mumble and still she can understand what I am saying since she started laughing.
"You know, you are funny!" (Y/N) exclaims in between her laughs as she cups her mouth with her hand. "And, it's even funnier that it's unintentional," She added, wiping away the tears formed in her eyes.
I click my tongue in embarrassment, covering my mouth with my hand to hide the blush creeping in my face.
"I'm sorry, are you mad?" She says, looking at me with a worried look as she is fully recovered from laughing at me.
I don't really have the guts to be mad at you.
The words wanting to slip on my tongue, "No, It's just embarrassing," I murmur, avoiding eye contact with her.
"Don't be jealous now, okay?" She says a bit jokingly, almost making me choke on my saliva. The sound of the bus' horn woke me up from my astonished state.
"Y-yeah."
